**Question:** Which blockchain games have the most daily active wallets?

- Kind: Table in Voltfin Strata
- Topic: [NFTs and gaming](https://voltfincrypto.com/topics/nft-gaming)
- Chains: Multi-chain
- Status: Planned. The data is not published yet, so this page states no figure; each figure will open its receipt when it is.

This table ranks blockchain games by the number of distinct wallets that interact with their contracts each day, the closest on-chain measure of how many people play. Beside it are transactions, new wallets and trades of each game's NFTs and tokens, so a game's play can be told apart from the trading around it.

Wallets are not players: one person can use several, and bots can drive activity, especially where play earns tokens. The table shows the share of transactions from wallets with bot-like patterns, and every count links to the contracts it was read from, so readers can judge each game's numbers for themselves.

## Blueprint

One row: One row per game per chain, on the latest complete UTC day

- **Game** (`game`): The game's name, linked to its registry entry and contracts.
- **Chain** (`chain`): The chain the game's contracts run on.
- **Daily active wallets** (`active_wallets`): Distinct wallets that called the game's contracts on the day.
- **30-day average** (`active_wallets_30d_avg`): Average daily active wallets over the last 30 days.
- **30-day change** (`change_30d`): Change in the 30-day average against the 30 days before.
- **Transactions** (`transactions`): Transactions calling the game's contracts on the day.
- **New wallets** (`new_wallets`): Wallets that called the game's contracts for the first time on the day.
- **Asset trades** (`asset_trade_value`, USD): Value of the game's NFTs and tokens traded on marketplaces and DEXs on the day.
- **Share of chain** (`chain_share`): The game's daily active wallets as a share of all active addresses on its chain that day.
- **Likely bot share** (`bot_share`): Share of the day's transactions from wallets flagged for bot-like patterns.
- **Receipt** (`receipt`): The contracts, block range and reads behind the row.

## How it will be measured

- Each game is a set of contracts in a reviewed registry, per chain; a wallet is active on a day when it sends a transaction that calls one of them.
- Daily active wallets count distinct accounts calling the game's contracts in a UTC day; sponsored transactions are attributed to the player's account where the call records it, not to the sponsor.
- In-game asset trades are sales of the game's NFTs and tokens on marketplaces and DEXs, kept apart from gameplay calls.
- Wallets whose activity follows fixed schedules, or that were funded in bulk from one source, are flagged as likely bots and shown as a share, never silently removed.

## Data it needs

- `address_labels` (to build): Labels for known addresses: exchanges, bridges, protocols, funds, treasuries, sanctioned addresses and known attackers.
- `nft_sales_daily` (to build): NFT sales per collection, marketplace and chain per day: sales, buyers, sellers and volume in the payment token.
- `token_transfers_daily` (to build): ERC-20 and native transfer counts, volume and unique senders and receivers per token per chain per day.
- `chain_activity_daily` (to build): Transactions, active sending addresses, new addresses, contracts created and gas used on each chain per day, counted from blocks and transactions.
- Source: Reviewed registry of game contracts per chain
- Source: Transactions calling each game's contracts, for distinct wallets per day
- Source: Game NFT and token Transfer logs and their marketplace fills
- Source: ERC-4337 UserOperation events, to attribute sponsored play to the player's account
- Source: Ronin and Immutable zkEVM blocks and logs, once those chains are covered

## Questions

### What are the most played blockchain games?

Sort the table by daily active wallets for the latest complete day, or by the 30-day average for a steadier view. Wallet counts measure on-chain interactions, so a game that keeps most of its play off-chain can rank lower than its player numbers.

### How are active users counted for web3 games?

An active wallet is a distinct address that sends a transaction to one of the game's contracts in a day. It overstates players who use several wallets and understates games that put only some actions on-chain, which the table notes per game.

### Are blockchain games still active?

Activity varies widely between games and over time. The table shows each game's daily active wallets and its 30-day change, so a reader can see which games still draw players and which have gone quiet.

### Why are some games missing from the ranking?

A game appears once its contracts are in the registry for a covered chain. Games on chains that are not covered yet, or that keep play off-chain, are listed as not covered rather than ranked at zero.

## Glossary

- **Daily active wallets**: Distinct addresses that sent at least one transaction to a game's contracts in a UTC day.
- **Play-to-earn**: A game design that rewards play with tokens or NFTs that can be sold, which can also attract bot activity.
- **Sponsored transaction**: A transaction whose gas is paid by someone other than the player, such as a game's relayer or paymaster.
