**Question:** What were the largest crypto transfers in the last 24 hours, and which moved to or from exchanges?

- Kind: Dashboard in Voltfin Vantage
- Topic: [Wallets and whales](https://voltfincrypto.com/topics/wallets)
- Chains: Multi-chain, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tron, Solana
- Status: Planned. The data is not published yet, so this page states no figure; each figure will open its receipt when it is.

Large transfers are often the first visible sign that a fund, an exchange or a long-time holder is moving. This dashboard lists the largest transfers of major coins and stablecoins over the last 24 hours across the covered chains. Each comes with its value at the time, its chain and its transaction; a tag marks transfers to or from a known exchange wallet.

Most large transfers are routine: exchanges moving funds between hot and cold wallets, custodians rebalancing and issuers minting. Transfers between two wallets of the same exchange are marked as internal rather than counted as deposits or withdrawals, so the exchange flow figures show coins actually arriving or leaving.

Use the list to follow the day's biggest moves and the flows page for net movement to and from exchanges; the asset filter narrows both to one coin. A transfer is a fact about addresses, and why it happened is rarely visible on the chain.

## Blueprint

### Today

The largest transfers of the last 24 hours.

- **Large transfers, 24 hours** (count): Transfers above their asset's threshold in the last 24 hours across covered chains.
- **Value moved, 24 hours** (USD): The combined value of those transfers at their blocks' oracle prices.
- **Into exchanges, 24 hours** (USD): Value of large transfers that arrived at a labelled exchange address from outside that exchange.
- **Out of exchanges, 24 hours** (USD): Value of large transfers that left a labelled exchange address for an address outside it.
- **Largest transfers, 24 hours**: Each transfer's time, asset, amount, value, chain, sender and receiver labels and transaction, sorted by value.

### Exchange flows

Large transfers into and out of exchanges, by asset and by day.

- **Net exchange flow, BTC, 7 days** (BTC): Large BTC transfers into exchanges minus large BTC transfers out of them over seven days.
- **Net exchange flow, stablecoins, 7 days** (USD): The same balance for large stablecoin transfers over seven days.
- **Large transfers by asset** (count): How many large transfers each asset had in the last 24 hours.
- **Exchange inflows and outflows by day** (USD): Daily value of large transfers into and out of exchanges over the last month, inflows above the line and outflows below.
- **Large transfer value by chain** (USD): Daily value of large transfers on each covered chain over the last month.

Filters: Asset (BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, WBTC, WETH or all); Chain (Every covered chain).

## How it will be measured

- A transfer is large when its value passes a threshold set per asset and stated on the page, so a large Bitcoin move and a large stablecoin move are each judged on their own scale.
- Native transfers come from traces on EVM chains and from transaction outputs on Bitcoin, leaving out outputs paid back to one of the transaction's own input addresses; token transfers come from Transfer logs.
- Values use oracle prices at each transfer's block, such as Chainlink ETH/USD and BTC/USD; stablecoins are valued at their peg.
- Exchange tags come from addresses exchanges publish in their proof-of-reserve lists and other public sources, recorded with each label; transfers between one exchange's own addresses are marked internal.
- Every row links to its transaction, its block and the label sources it used.

## Data it needs

- `whale_transfers` (to build): Transfers above a size threshold per token and chain, with sender and receiver labels (exchange, fund, bridge, unknown).
- `address_labels` (to build): Labels for known addresses: exchanges, bridges, protocols, funds, treasuries, sanctioned addresses and known attackers.
- `exchange_balances_daily` (to build): Balances held in labelled exchange wallets per asset, chain and exchange at day end, and net flows in and out.
- `native_prices_daily` (to build): Reference prices of major assets read from on-chain oracle feeds (Chainlink latestRoundData) at each day's last block, with each round's update time.
- Source: Native ETH value transfers from traces above the threshold on Ethereum and covered layer 2s
- Source: ERC-20 Transfer logs of USDT, USDC, WETH and WBTC above their thresholds on covered EVM chains
- Source: Bitcoin transaction outputs above the threshold, leaving out outputs paid back to an input address
- Source: USDT TRC-20 transfers above the threshold on Tron
- Source: Exchange-published proof-of-reserve address lists, for exchange tags (off-chain attribution)
- Source: Chainlink ETH/USD and BTC/USD feeds at each transfer's block

## Questions

### What counts as a whale transaction?

A transfer above a size threshold set for each asset and stated on the page. Thresholds differ by asset so that the list is not filled by one coin's ordinary large movements.

### Does a large deposit to an exchange mean someone will sell?

Not necessarily. Deposits can be for selling, for collateral, for lending or simply an exchange moving its own funds. The dashboard shows the movement and its destination, not the intention behind it.

### Why are some transfers marked internal?

When both sides of a transfer belong to the same exchange or custodian, by its published addresses, the coins did not change hands. Those transfers are marked internal and left out of the exchange inflow and outflow figures.

### Which chains does the whale tracker cover?

Bitcoin, Ethereum and the covered EVM layer 2s and chains, Tron for USDT and Solana for its major tokens, as each chain's reader comes online. Every row names its chain.

### How are dollar values calculated?

Each transfer is valued with an on-chain oracle price at its own block, so the value reflects the moment it moved rather than today's price. Stablecoins are valued at their peg.

## Glossary

- **Whale**: A holder or wallet large enough that its transfers stand out, usually judged by the size of a single transfer or balance.
- **Internal transfer**: A transfer between two addresses that belong to the same exchange or custodian, which moves coins without changing who owns them.
