# 1inch Volume by Chain: Fusion, Classic Swaps and Resolvers

> 1inch volume by chain, counted once per trade: classic aggregator swaps, Fusion orders and Fusion+ cross-chain swaps, with the resolvers that fill them.

**Question:** How much volume goes through 1inch on each chain, and how much of it do Fusion resolvers fill?

- Kind: Dashboard in Voltfin Vantage
- Topic: [DeFi](https://voltfincrypto.com/topics/defi)
- Chains: Multi-chain, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Base, Arbitrum, Polygon, OP Mainnet, Avalanche, Gnosis, ZKsync
- Status: Planned. The data is not published yet, so this page states no figure; each figure will open its receipt when it is.

1inch is a DEX aggregator on Ethereum and most large EVM chains, with three ways to trade. A classic swap goes through the 1inch router, which splits the order across pools in one transaction the user pays gas for. A Fusion swap is an intent: the user signs an order, and resolvers compete in a Dutch auction to fill it and pay the gas themselves. Fusion+ extends that across chains, with escrows on both sides that release together, so the swap completes on both chains or on neither.

This dashboard counts each of the three from its own contracts, once per trade, and values it at the stablecoin leg or an on-chain oracle price. It shows where 1inch volume happens by chain and how the split between routed swaps and Fusion moves, along with which resolvers fill Fusion orders and at what share, every figure linked to the fills behind it.

## Blueprint

### Volume

1inch volume by chain and by way of trading.

- **Volume, latest day** (USD): Volume of all 1inch trades on the covered chains on the latest complete day, counted once per trade.
- **Volume, 30 days** (USD): Volume of all 1inch trades over the last thirty complete days.
- **Fusion share** (%): Fusion and Fusion+ orders as a share of 1inch volume over the selected period.
- **Fusion+ volume, 30 days** (USD): Cross-chain Fusion+ swaps over the last thirty days, counted on their source chain.
- **Volume by way of trading** (USD): Daily volume stacked by classic swaps, Fusion orders and Fusion+ swaps.
- **Chains**: Each covered chain with its 1inch volume, trades, Fusion share and most traded pairs.

### Resolvers

Who fills Fusion orders, and how fast.

- **Active resolvers** (count): Resolvers that filled at least one Fusion order over the selected period.
- **Largest resolver's share** (%): The single largest resolver's share of Fusion volume over the period.
- **Fusion volume by resolver** (USD): Fusion and Fusion+ volume over the period, split by the resolver that filled it.
- **Time to fill** (seconds): The median time from an order's auction start to its fill each day, from the order data and the fill block's time.

Filters: Chain (Every covered chain, or all); Period (Last 7, 30 or 90 days).

## How it will be measured

- Classic swap volume is read from transactions that call the 1inch Aggregation Router on each chain, using the token transfers into and out of the trader's address, counted once per trade.
- Fusion and limit-order volume comes from the Limit Order Protocol's OrderFilled events, with the resolver taken from the address that settled each fill.
- Fusion+ swaps are matched across chains from their source and destination escrow events by the shared order hash, and counted once, on the source chain.
- Trades are valued at the stablecoin leg or a Chainlink price at the trade's block; on chains without a covered feed, only the stablecoin or wrapped native leg is used.

## Data it needs

- `dex_swaps_daily` (to build): Swap counts and volume per DEX, pool and chain per day, decoded from Swap events, valued with stablecoin legs and oracle prices.
- `native_prices_daily` (to build): Reference prices of major assets read from on-chain oracle feeds (Chainlink latestRoundData) at each day's last block, with each round's update time.
- Source: Transactions calling the 1inch Aggregation Router on each chain, with their token transfers
- Source: Limit Order Protocol OrderFilled events and the settling addresses
- Source: Fusion+ source and destination escrow creation, withdrawal and cancellation events
- Source: Resolver addresses and the staked 1INCH delegated to them
- Source: Chainlink price feeds at the trade block

## Questions

### What is 1inch Fusion?

A way to swap by signing an order instead of sending a transaction. The order's rate starts at its best for the trader and decays over a short Dutch auction until a resolver finds it worth filling; the resolver pays the gas and settles the order from its own liquidity or on-chain pools.

### Who are 1inch resolvers?

Professional fillers, often market makers, that compete to settle Fusion orders. Their access to order flow depends on staked 1INCH delegated to them, and the resolvers page shows each one's share of Fusion volume over the period.

### How does Fusion+ swap across chains without a bridge?

The trader's tokens are locked in an escrow on the source chain and the resolver locks the other tokens in an escrow on the destination chain. A secret revealed once both are in place unlocks the two escrows, and if it is not revealed in time both return to their owners.

### Is 1inch volume the same as DEX volume?

No. 1inch counts the trade a user made once, while DEXs count every pool swap the trade passed through, and a Fusion order may be filled from a resolver's own inventory without touching a pool. The two measures overlap and should never be added together.

### Are 1inch swaps protected from MEV?

Fusion orders are signed messages filled by resolvers, not swaps waiting in the public mempool, which removes the usual target for a sandwich. Classic swaps rely on the slippage limit the trader sets and on how the transaction is sent.

## Glossary

- **Intent**: A signed statement of what a trader wants, such as a minimum amount out, that others compete to fill.
- **Resolver**: A filler that settles 1inch Fusion orders, paying the gas and keeping the spread the auction allows.
- **Dutch auction**: An auction whose price starts at its best for the trader and gets worse over time until someone accepts it.
- **Hashlock**: A lock that opens only when a secret matching a published hash is revealed, used by Fusion+ escrows.
