**Question:** How much ETH backs eETH and weETH, and how much of it is still restaked?

- Kind: Dashboard in Voltfin Vantage
- Topic: [Staking and restaking](https://voltfincrypto.com/topics/staking)
- Chains: Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, OP Mainnet, Linea, Scroll
- Status: Planned. The data is not published yet, so this page states no figure; each figure will open its receipt when it is.

ether.fi stakes ETH and issues eETH, a token whose balance grows as rewards are reported, and weETH, the wrapped form whose balance stays fixed while its value in eETH rises. This dashboard reads ether.fi's liquidity pool and token contracts to show the ETH behind both tokens, the validators that hold it, the withdrawals waiting and where weETH circulates.

ether.fi began as a restaking protocol: its validators pointed their withdrawals to EigenPods and its stake was delegated to EigenLayer operators. In August 2026 it removed restaking from weETH, which now earns plain staking rewards, and moved restaking into weETHs, a separate opt-in token built on Symbiotic. The dashboard shows how much of ether.fi's ETH is still delegated in EigenLayer as those ties are wound down.

Use it to check the rate behind weETH, how quickly withdrawals are paid and how much weETH sits on other chains. Each figure is pinned to a block, with the contract call that produced it.

## Blueprint

### Staking

ETH behind eETH and weETH, the rate and what is still restaked.

- **ETH behind eETH** (ETH): Total ETH in ether.fi's liquidity pool, in validators and in the pool's buffer, from getTotalPooledEther() at the day's last block.
- **weETH supply** (weETH): weETH totalSupply() on Ethereum, the wrapped eETH that most lending markets and bridges use.
- **eETH per weETH** (eETH): weETH's exchange rate from getRate() at the latest block; it rises with each oracle report of rewards.
- **Share still restaked** (%): ETH behind eETH that is still delegated to EigenLayer operators, as a share of all of it, at the latest block.
- **eETH held and wrapped** (eETH): eETH held directly and eETH wrapped as weETH, by day, so the part used in DeFi shows.
- **weETHs supply** (weETHs): Supply of weETHs, the opt-in token that restakes through Symbiotic, by day.

### Withdrawals and chains

Requests waiting, validators and weETH on other chains.

- **eETH waiting to withdraw** (eETH): eETH locked in withdrawal requests that are not yet finalized, at the latest block.
- **Active validators** (count): Validators funded by ether.fi's liquidity pool that are active on the beacon chain at the latest epoch.
- **Requested and claimed by day** (ETH): eETH sent to withdrawal requests and ETH claimed from finalized requests, per day over the selected period.
- **weETH on other chains** (weETH): weETH supply on each chain it is bridged to beside the weETH locked for that chain on Ethereum, at each chain's day-end block.

Filters: Period (Last 30, 90 or 365 days).

## How it will be measured

- Pooled ETH and eETH shares are read from ether.fi's liquidity pool at each day's last block, and weETH's rate from getRate() at the same block.
- Each change in the rate is matched to the oracle report transaction that caused it.
- Restaked share is the ETH in ether.fi's EigenPods and EigenLayer strategy positions that is still delegated to an operator, read from EigenLayer's delegation and pod contracts, over all ETH behind eETH.
- Withdrawals come from the withdrawal request NFT contract's request, finalization and claim events.
- weETH on other chains is each bridged token's totalSupply at that chain's day-end block, compared with the weETH locked for those chains on Ethereum.

## Data it needs

- `lst_rates_daily` (to build): Exchange rates of liquid staking and restaking tokens (wstETH, rETH, cbETH, weETH and others) at day end, and the realized yield they imply.
- `token_supply_daily` (to build): Total supply of each registry token on each chain at day end: wrapped BTC, liquid staking tokens, tokenized assets and other tracked tokens.
- `restaking_daily` (to build): Assets restaked per restaking protocol, strategy and operator per day, and what is delegated to each service.
- `eth_staking_daily` (to build): Active validators, ETH staked, deposits, withdrawals and the entry and exit queues on the Ethereum beacon chain, by day, with staking-provider labels where known.
- `bridge_flows_daily` (to build): Deposits into and withdrawals out of canonical and major third-party bridges by chain, token and day, plus escrow balances at day end.

## Questions

### What is the difference between eETH and weETH?

eETH's balance grows as ether.fi reports rewards. weETH wraps eETH into a token whose balance stays fixed while the eETH it can be unwrapped for rises. Both stand for the same staked ETH; lending markets and bridges mostly use weETH because a fixed balance is easier to integrate.

### Is weETH still a restaking token?

No. In August 2026 ether.fi removed restaking from weETH, which now earns staking rewards only, and moved restaking into weETHs, a separate opt-in token that restakes through Symbiotic. The dashboard shows the share of ether.fi's ETH still delegated in EigenLayer while the last links are removed.

### How long does an ether.fi withdrawal take?

A withdrawal request locks eETH and issues an NFT. It is finalized once the pool has ETH to pay it, from its buffer or from validators that exit, and is then claimed. The dashboard shows how much is waiting and how long recent requests took to finalize.

### How does weETH's exchange rate change?

ether.fi's oracle reports validator balances to its liquidity pool, which raises the ETH each eETH share is worth, and weETH's rate follows. A report that recorded losses would lower it. Every step in the rate is matched to its report.

### What is weETHs?

An ether.fi token for holders who still want restaking. It places ETH-based collateral in Symbiotic vaults, earning restaking rewards and taking on slashing risk on top of staking. Its supply is shown on its own line, apart from weETH.

## Glossary

- **eETH**: ether.fi's rebasing liquid staking token: each holder's balance grows as staking rewards are reported.
- **weETH**: Wrapped eETH: a token with a fixed balance whose exchange rate in eETH rises with rewards.
- **EigenPod**: An EigenLayer contract that validators' withdrawal credentials can point to, which lets their ETH be restaked natively.
- **Withdrawal request NFT**: The token ether.fi issues for each withdrawal request; it is redeemed for ETH once the request is finalized.
