**Question:** Which euro stablecoins are growing under MiCA, and on which chains do they circulate?

- Kind: Dashboard in Voltfin Vantage
- Topic: [Stablecoins](https://voltfincrypto.com/topics/stablecoins)
- Chains: Multi-chain, Ethereum, Base, Solana, Stellar, Gnosis
- Status: Planned. The data is not published yet, so this page states no figure; each figure will open its receipt when it is.

Euro stablecoins are a small part of stablecoin supply and the part most shaped by regulation: under the EU's MiCA rules, each must be issued by an authorized bank or electronic money institution. This dashboard reads every tracked euro coin's supply in euros from its contracts and shows each coin's share and where it circulates.

The coins differ in who stands behind them: a stablecoin company, a large bank, a licensed e-money firm or a group of financial institutions. Their supply is never added to dollar stablecoins; every figure here is in euros of peg.

Read the total and the supply chart to see which coins are growing, then the chains page to see where each one is used. Each coin's issuer and authorization is recorded with its public source.

## Blueprint

### Share

Euro stablecoin supply and each coin's share today.

- **Euro stablecoin supply** (EUR): Circulating supply of every tracked euro stablecoin across covered chains on the latest day, in euros of peg.
- **Largest coin's share** (%): The share of euro stablecoin supply held by the largest euro coin on the latest day, named on the tile.
- **Euro coins tracked** (count): Euro stablecoins with circulating supply on the latest day.
- **Change, 90 days** (%): Euro stablecoin supply against its level ninety days earlier.
- **Supply by coin over time** (EUR): Daily supply of each euro coin over the selected period, stacked to the total.
- **Coins, issuers and supply**: Each euro coin's issuer, authorization, chains, supply, share and 90-day change, with a receipt per row.

### Chains and use

Where each euro coin circulates and how much it moves.

- **Chains with euro coins** (count): Covered chains where at least one euro stablecoin has native supply on the latest day.
- **Holders** (count): Addresses holding any tracked euro stablecoin at the latest day's last blocks, counted per chain and added.
- **Supply by chain** (EUR): Each euro coin's supply on each covered chain on the latest day.
- **Transfer volume by coin** (EUR): Daily value of each euro coin's transfers over the selected period, mints and burns left out.

Filters: Period (Last 30 days, 90 days or one year); Coin (Every tracked euro stablecoin).

## How it will be measured

- Supply is each euro stablecoin contract's totalSupply() at the last block of each UTC day on every covered chain, scaled by decimals, minus tokens the issuer holds unissued.
- Shares are each coin's supply as a part of all tracked euro stablecoin supply on the same day; dollar coins are never in the denominator.
- Transfer volume comes from each contract's Transfer logs with mints and burns left out, and holders are checked against balanceOf at the same block.
- Issuers and MiCA authorizations come from public registers and issuer documents, recorded with their source and date; they are context, not on-chain figures.
- Solana and Stellar supply comes from those ledgers once their readers are added; until then each figure names the chains it covers.

## Data it needs

- `stablecoin_supply_daily` (published): Native supply of each USD and EUR stablecoin on each covered chain at the chain's last block of each day, from totalSupply() reads, with bridged copies kept apart.
- `stablecoin_supply_totals_daily` (published): Each chain's native stablecoin supply per peg per day, added up from the per-token rows, never mixing pegs or native and bridged supply.
- `stablecoins` (published): Every tracked stablecoin contract: issuer, peg, chain, decimals and whether it is native or bridged.
- `token_transfers_daily` (to build): ERC-20 and native transfer counts, volume and unique senders and receivers per token per chain per day.
- `token_holders_snapshot` (to build): Holder counts, top holders and concentration shares of registry tokens at a pinned block, with contract and exchange labels.
- Source: totalSupply() of EURC, EURCV, EURe, EURI, EURAU, EURQ and EURR contracts on each covered chain at day-end blocks
- Source: Transfer logs of the same contracts, for transfer volume and holders
- Source: Solana SPL mint supply and Stellar asset supply, once their readers are added
- Source: Public MiCA registers and issuer documents for each coin's issuer and authorization

## Questions

### What is a euro stablecoin?

A token designed to hold the value of one euro, backed by euro reserves and redeemable with its issuer. Under MiCA, euro stablecoins offered in the EU are e-money tokens, issued by authorized banks or e-money institutions.

### What is EURC?

EURC is Circle's euro stablecoin, issued under MiCA through Circle's French e-money institution and backed by euro reserves. It is native on several chains, and its supply on each is read from its contract there.

### What is EURCV?

EURCV is the euro stablecoin of SG-FORGE, the digital assets subsidiary of Société Générale, issued as an e-money token under MiCA.

### What is EURe?

EURe is Monerium's euro e-money token, issued by a licensed e-money institution and designed so euros can move between bank accounts and chains.

### What is MiCA?

The Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation, the EU's rulebook for crypto assets. For stablecoins it sets who may issue them, how reserves are held and how holders redeem. It also restricts offering stablecoins from unauthorized issuers to EU users.

### Why is euro stablecoin supply so much smaller than dollar supply?

Most stablecoin demand comes from trading and from users outside the euro area who want dollars. Euro coins serve euro payments, treasury and settlement. Their growth depends on banks, payment firms and exchanges in Europe adopting them.

## Glossary

- **E-money token**: MiCA's category for a stablecoin that references one official currency, such as the euro; it must be issued by an authorized bank or e-money institution and be redeemable at par.
- **MiCA**: The EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation, which governs stablecoin issuers and crypto service providers across member states.
