**Question:** How much GRASS is staked, how much of each airdrop was claimed and who holds the token?

- Kind: Dashboard in Voltfin Vantage
- Topic: [DePIN](https://voltfincrypto.com/topics/depin)
- Chains: Solana
- Status: Planned. The data is not published yet, so this page states no figure; each figure will open its receipt when it is.

Grass is a network in which people share unused internet bandwidth through an app, and the network uses it to collect public web data for AI training. Contributors earn points that have been converted into GRASS, a token on Solana, through seasonal airdrops. Holders can stake GRASS by delegating it to routers, the nodes that relay the network's traffic.

The token side of Grass is on Solana and can be read exactly: supply, holders, airdrop claims, staking balances, exchange wallets and scheduled unlocks. Bandwidth shared, active nodes and data collected are reported by Grass itself, so this dashboard shows them as labelled off-chain figures beside the on-chain ones.

## Blueprint

### Staking and holders

GRASS staked, held and on exchanges.

- **GRASS staked** (GRASS): GRASS in staking accounts at the latest day's last slot.
- **Holders** (count): Wallets holding GRASS at the latest slot, exchange and program accounts excluded.
- **On exchanges** (GRASS): GRASS held in labelled exchange wallets at the latest day's last slot.
- **Unstaking** (GRASS): GRASS in the seven-day unstaking period at the latest day's last slot.
- **Staked and on exchanges by day** (GRASS): Daily staked GRASS and exchange balances over the period.

### Airdrops and unlocks

What was claimed, what unlocks next and what Grass reports.

- **Airdrops claimed** (%): Share of each airdrop season's allocation that has been claimed.
- **Next unlock** (GRASS): GRASS due in the next scheduled unlock, with its date and recipient group.
- **Where claimed GRASS went** (GRASS): Where claimed airdrop GRASS went within 30 days: kept, staked, sent to exchanges or moved on.
- **Nodes, as reported** (count): Nodes Grass reports as active over time, labelled off-chain and shown beside on-chain staking.

Filters: Period (Last 30 days, 90 days or since launch).

## How it will be measured

- Supply and holders are read from the GRASS mint and token accounts on Solana at the latest slot, with exchange, program and treasury accounts labelled.
- Staked GRASS is the balance in the staking accounts at each day's last slot, where staking settles on Solana; tokens leaving are tracked through the seven days unstaking takes.
- Airdrop claims are the distributor's claim transactions, compared with the allocation each season funded, so the unclaimed share can be shown.
- Network size, such as nodes and bandwidth, is taken from Grass's published figures with their date and labelled off-chain.

## Data it needs

- `depin_networks_daily` (to build): Usage and token flows of decentralized physical infrastructure networks: burns for usage, emissions to operators, and active nodes where on-chain.
- `airdrop_claims` (to build): Claims from airdrop distributor contracts: eligible amount, claimed amount, claimers and what they did next.
- `token_unlocks` (to build): Vesting and unlock schedules of major tokens, from vesting contracts where they exist and from published schedules otherwise, with each unlock's date and recipient group.
- `exchange_balances_daily` (to build): Balances held in labelled exchange wallets per asset, chain and exchange at day end, and net flows in and out.
- `dex_swaps_daily` (to build): Swap counts and volume per DEX, pool and chain per day, decoded from Swap events, valued with stablecoin legs and oracle prices.
- Source: GRASS mint supply and token account balances on Solana at day-end slots
- Source: Staking accounts and stake and unstake instructions, where staking settles on Solana
- Source: Airdrop distributor claim transactions per season
- Source: Labelled exchange deposit and hot wallets holding GRASS
- Source: The published unlock schedule for contributor, investor and team allocations

## Questions

### What is Grass?

A network in which people share unused internet bandwidth through an app, which the network uses to collect public web data for AI training. Contributors have been rewarded through seasonal airdrops of GRASS, a token on Solana.

### How does GRASS staking work?

Holders stake by delegating GRASS to routers, the nodes that relay network traffic. Routers with more stake are sent more traffic, rewards accrue continuously, routers take a commission and unstaking takes seven days before tokens can be withdrawn.

### What can be checked on-chain?

GRASS supply, transfers, holders, airdrop claims and balances at staking and exchange addresses are all on Solana. Bandwidth shared, active nodes and data collected are reported by Grass off-chain and are labelled so on this page.

### How were GRASS airdrops distributed?

Each season's airdrop allocated GRASS to contributors according to the points they earned, claimed through transactions on Solana. The dashboard compares what was claimed with what was allocated and follows claimed tokens to staking, exchanges or other wallets.

### Do Grass routers get slashed?

Grass's documentation says slashing is not implemented yet, though future updates may penalize routers for bad behaviour such as reporting invalid traffic. Any slashing would show here as a fall in staked balances.

## Glossary

- **Router**: A Grass node that relays traffic between contributors' devices and the network; holders delegate GRASS to routers when they stake.
- **Delegation**: Staking GRASS to a chosen router, sharing in the rewards it earns after its commission.
- **Airdrop season**: A period whose contributor points are converted into a GRASS allocation, claimable after the season ends.
