**Question:** How much SOL backs JitoSOL, and how much of Jito's MEV tips reach its stakers?

- Kind: Dashboard in Voltfin Vantage
- Topic: [Staking and restaking](https://voltfincrypto.com/topics/staking)
- Chains: Solana
- Status: Planned. The data is not published yet, so this page states no figure; each figure will open its receipt when it is.

JitoSOL is the token of Jito's stake pool on Solana: SOL deposited into the pool is staked across many validators, and JitoSOL's value in SOL rises every epoch with the inflation rewards and MEV tips those stake accounts earn. This dashboard reads the pool's accounts each epoch to show the SOL behind JitoSOL, its rate, where its stake goes and what it earned from each source.

The tips come from Jito's block engine. Traders and bots attach tips to bundles so that validators running Jito's client include them in a set order; the tips land in on-chain tip accounts and are split each epoch between each validator and the stake accounts delegated to it, through Merkle trees that TipRouter, a network of node operators on Jito's restaking protocol, now computes and posts. The dashboard measures each step of that flow on-chain.

Use it to see what share of JitoSOL's yield comes from MEV, how tip income moves with market activity and how the pool spreads its stake. Every figure names the epoch and slot it was read at.

## Blueprint

### JitoSOL

The pool's SOL, JitoSOL's rate, its yield by source and where its stake goes.

- **JitoSOL supply** (JitoSOL): JitoSOL minted by the stake pool at the latest epoch, from the pool account's token supply.
- **SOL in the pool** (SOL): Total lamports the pool holds in its validator stake accounts and reserve after the latest epoch update, in SOL.
- **SOL per JitoSOL** (SOL): The pool's total lamports divided by its token supply after the epoch's update.
- **Validators delegated** (count): Validators holding stake from the pool at the latest epoch, from its validator list.
- **Yield by source per epoch** (%): JitoSOL's annualized yield each epoch, split into inflation rewards and MEV tips claimed by the pool's stake accounts, after fees.
- **Stake by validator** (SOL): The pool's stake per validator at the latest epoch, largest first, with each validator's commission and MEV commission.

### Tips

Jito tips paid, the part distributed to stakers and how large tips are each day.

- **Tips last epoch** (SOL): SOL paid into Jito's tip accounts during the last complete epoch.
- **Tips to stakers last epoch** (SOL): Tips claimed by stake accounts rather than validators from tip distribution accounts in the last complete epoch.
- **Tips by epoch** (SOL): Tips paid per epoch beside the part distributed to stakers and the part kept as validator and protocol commission.
- **Tip size percentiles by day** (SOL): The 25th, 50th and 75th percentile tip per tipping transaction each day, from on-chain transfers to Jito's tip accounts.

Filters: Period (Last 10, 30 or 90 epochs).

## How it will be measured

- Pool supply, total lamports and the validator list are read from the stake pool's accounts after each epoch's update, so the rate is the one the pool itself uses.
- Inflation rewards per stake account come from each epoch's reward credits, and tip income from claims on the tip distribution program by the pool's stake accounts.
- Tips paid are SOL transfers to Jito's tip payment accounts, counted per transaction and per epoch; the daily percentiles use every tipping transaction of the day.
- Validator scores and delegation changes come from StakeNet's steward program state and its rebalancing transactions.

## Data it needs

- `staking_networks_daily` (to build): Staked supply, staking ratio, validators and nominal rewards per proof-of-stake network per day.
- `protocol_revenue_daily` (to build): Fees users paid to each protocol and the part kept by the protocol or its token holders, per protocol and day, including buybacks.
- `chain_fees_daily` (to build): Fees paid per chain per day in the native token: base fee and priority fee percentiles, total fees, and the share burned where the chain burns fees.
- Source: JitoSOL's SPL stake pool account: total lamports, pool token supply, fees and validator list after each epoch update
- Source: Inflation reward credits to the pool's stake accounts at each epoch boundary
- Source: Tip payment program: SOL transfers into Jito's tip accounts, per transaction
- Source: Tip distribution program: Merkle roots posted per validator and epoch with the claims made against them
- Source: StakeNet steward program state and its rebalancing instructions

## Questions

### What is JitoSOL?

JitoSOL is the liquid staking token of Jito's stake pool. SOL deposited into the pool is staked with many validators, and JitoSOL's value in SOL rises every epoch by the inflation rewards and MEV tips those stake accounts earn, less the pool's fees.

### What are Jito tips?

Payments that traders and bots attach to transactions or bundles sent through Jito's block engine, so that validators running Jito's client include them in a set order. The tips go to on-chain tip accounts and are later split between the validator and its stakers.

### How do JitoSOL holders earn MEV?

Each epoch, the tips a validator collected are divided by a Merkle tree that lists every stake account delegated to it, after the validator's MEV commission. JitoSOL's stake accounts claim their share, which adds SOL to the pool and lifts JitoSOL's rate.

### How does Jito choose validators for JitoSOL?

StakeNet's steward program scores validators on rules set by Jito governance, such as block production, voting, commission, MEV commission and sharing priority fees with stakers, and moves the pool's stake toward those that score well each cycle.

### What is the Jito tip floor?

The smallest tip that recently got bundles included, usually quoted as percentiles of landed tips. The dashboard measures the same idea from the chain itself: the spread of tip transfers to Jito's tip accounts each day.

## Glossary

- **Stake pool**: A Solana program account that holds many stake accounts and issues one token for them; JitoSOL runs on the SPL stake pool program.
- **Tip distribution account**: An on-chain account for each validator and epoch that collects its Jito tips until the validator and its stakers claim them.
- **TipRouter**: A network of node operators on Jito's restaking protocol that computes each epoch's tip distribution and posts its Merkle roots.
- **StakeNet**: Jito's on-chain system that scores validators and moves JitoSOL's stake between them by published rules.
