**Question:** How much volume does Jupiter route each day, and which DEXs and market makers fill it?

- Kind: Dashboard in Voltfin Vantage
- Topic: [DeFi](https://voltfincrypto.com/topics/defi)
- Chains: Solana
- Status: Planned. The data is not published yet, so this page states no figure; each figure will open its receipt when it is.

Jupiter is the swap aggregator that many Solana wallets and apps route through. A swap request is quoted by several routing engines, Jupiter's own among them, which split the order across pools on Raydium, Orca, Meteora and other DEXs, and by JupiterZ, where market makers quote a price and fill the trade themselves. The transaction that lands on-chain records each leg, so the route can be rebuilt from it.

This dashboard counts the volume Jupiter routes once per trade, not once per pool, and splits it by the venues that filled each leg, so it shows how Jupiter's order flow spreads across Solana's DEXs and market makers. It also reads Jupiter's fees and the JUP bought by the Litterbox Trust, which receives a share of Jupiter's revenue and buys JUP on-chain.

## Blueprint

### Routing

Jupiter's routed volume and who filled it.

- **Routed volume, latest day** (USD): Volume of trades routed through Jupiter on the latest complete day, counted once per trade.
- **Trades, latest day** (count): Swap transactions routed through Jupiter on the latest complete day.
- **RFQ share** (%): JupiterZ market-maker fills as a share of routed volume over the selected period.
- **Largest venue's share** (%): The share of routed volume filled by the single largest DEX program or market maker over the period.
- **Routed volume by filler** (USD): Daily routed volume stacked by what filled it: each DEX program's pools and RFQ market makers.
- **Venues**: Each DEX program and market maker with its share of Jupiter-routed volume, the trades it filled and the pairs it filled most.

### Fees and JUP

What routed trades paid, and the JUP bought with revenue.

- **Fees, 30 days** (USD): Platform fees Jupiter collected on routed trades over the last thirty days, integrator fees excluded.
- **JUP bought, 30 days** (JUP): JUP the Litterbox Trust bought over the last thirty days, read from its wallet's swaps.
- **Fees by order type** (USD): Fees over the period split by instant swaps, limit orders and recurring orders.
- **JUP bought by day** (JUP): JUP bought by the Litterbox Trust each day, with the amount spent and its JUP balance afterwards.

Filters: Period (Last 7, 30 or 90 days).

## How it will be measured

- Routed volume is read from Jupiter's aggregator program: each swap's input and output mints and amounts, valued once per trade at the stablecoin leg or SOL's on-chain oracle price at the slot.
- Each leg's venue comes from the program it executed in within the transaction, so a trade split across several pools credits each pool with its part of the input.
- JupiterZ fills are identified by the RFQ fill instruction and the market maker's signature, and counted as RFQ volume rather than DEX volume.
- Fees are the platform fee transfers in each swap, with integrator fees kept apart; JUP buybacks are the Litterbox Trust's JUP purchases, read from its wallet's swaps and its balance at each day's last slot.

## Data it needs

- `dex_swaps_daily` (to build): Swap counts and volume per DEX, pool and chain per day, decoded from Swap events, valued with stablecoin legs and oracle prices.
- `protocol_revenue_daily` (to build): Fees users paid to each protocol and the part kept by the protocol or its token holders, per protocol and day, including buybacks.

- Source: Inner instructions of each swap transaction, naming the DEX program of every leg
- Source: JupiterZ RFQ fill instructions and market maker signatures
- Source: Platform and integrator fee transfers in each swap
- Source: Litterbox Trust wallet swaps into JUP and its JUP balance

## Questions

### How much volume does Jupiter do?

The routed volume for the latest day is the dashboard's first figure, counted once per trade from Jupiter's program and valued at that slot's prices. The daily chart shows how it moves, and the venue split shows who filled it.

### Does Jupiter volume double count DEX volume?

Jupiter volume and DEX volume measure different things. Jupiter counts the trade a user asked for once, while each DEX counts the swaps that passed through its pools. A routed trade appears in both, which is why the two should never be added together.

### What is Jupiter Ultra?

Jupiter's swap engine for its own interface and for apps. It gathers quotes from several routers and from JupiterZ market makers and picks the best. It can also submit the transaction for the user, including gasless swaps where the market maker pays the network fee.

### What is JupiterZ?

Jupiter's request-for-quote system. Market makers quote a price for a swap and, if chosen, fill it from their own inventory in one transaction, so the trade does not move any pool. The dashboard shows JupiterZ fills as RFQ volume.

### What is the Litterbox Trust?

A trust that receives a share of Jupiter's revenue and uses it to buy JUP on-chain. The fees page shows its purchases by day and the JUP it holds, read from its wallet.

### Are Jupiter Perps included?

No. Jupiter Perps is a separate perpetuals exchange with its own liquidity pool, JLP, and has its own dashboard. This page covers spot swaps routed by the aggregator.

## Glossary

- **Aggregator**: A router that splits a trade across many pools and venues to get a better price than any single pool would give.
- **RFQ**: Request for quote: a market maker quotes a price for a specific trade and fills it directly from its inventory.
- **Route**: The path a trade takes through pools and venues, which can split and hop through several tokens.
- **Integrator fee**: A fee an app adds on top of a swap it routes through Jupiter, paid to the app rather than to Jupiter.
