**Question:** How much trades on Magic Eden each day and on which chains, and how much of its revenue goes back to ME holders?

- Kind: Dashboard in Voltfin Vantage
- Topic: [NFTs and gaming](https://voltfincrypto.com/topics/nft-gaming)
- Chains: Solana, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Base, Polygon, Arbitrum
- Status: Planned. The data is not published yet, so this page states no figure; each figure will open its receipt when it is.

Magic Eden began as a Solana NFT marketplace and now also trades Bitcoin Ordinals and NFTs on several EVM chains. Each chain settles trades differently. Solana sales run through Magic Eden's own programs; a Bitcoin sale is a single transaction that moves an inscription and pays its seller; EVM sales go through marketplace contracts. This dashboard decodes each and adds them up per day and chain.

On Solana, Magic Eden's pools let a trader post bids and listings along a price curve, and the SOL in those pools is liquidity that can be read at any slot. Since 2026 Magic Eden has also sent part of its revenue to ME buybacks and to USDC rewards for ME stakers; those payments are on-chain too and are shown beside the trading figures.

## Blueprint

### Sales

Magic Eden's NFT sales, buyers and chains.

- **Sales value** (USD): Value of NFT sales settled through Magic Eden on the latest complete day across covered chains, wash trades excluded.
- **Sales** (count): NFT sales through Magic Eden on the latest complete day, wash trades excluded.
- **Buyers** (count): Distinct buyers on Magic Eden on the latest complete day, counted once per chain.
- **Bitcoin share** (%): Share of the latest week's Magic Eden sales value that came from Bitcoin Ordinals.
- **Sales value by chain** (USD): Daily sales value by chain over the period: Solana, Bitcoin and each EVM chain.

### Solana pools and ME

Pool liquidity on Solana and what goes back to ME holders.

- **SOL in pools** (SOL): SOL held in Magic Eden pools at the latest day's last slot: the bid liquidity they quote.
- **ME bought back** (ME): ME bought back in the latest complete month, from swaps by the labelled buyback address.
- **Share of Solana sales** (%): Magic Eden's share of Solana NFT sales value and sale count per week, beside other Solana marketplaces.
- **Buybacks and staker rewards** (USD): Monthly value of ME bought back and of USDC paid to ME stakers, each from its own transfers.

Filters: Period (Last 7 days, 30 days or 12 months); Chain (Solana, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Base, Polygon, Arbitrum or all).

## How it will be measured

- Solana sales are decoded from Magic Eden's marketplace and pool program instructions, with the NFT moved and the SOL or token paid in the same transaction.
- A Bitcoin Ordinals sale is a transaction in which an input carrying an inscription and a payment to its seller settle together, matched to Magic Eden by its fee output.
- EVM sales are decoded from the fill events of the contracts Magic Eden settles through on each chain, attributed by its fee recipient.
- Pool liquidity is the SOL held in Magic Eden pool accounts at the day's last slot, beside the number of NFTs the pools hold for sale.
- Buybacks and staker rewards are transfers from labelled buyback and rewards addresses, with ME valued at the DEX price of each block.

## Data it needs

- `nft_sales_daily` (to build): NFT sales per collection, marketplace and chain per day: sales, buyers, sellers and volume in the payment token.
- `protocol_revenue_daily` (to build): Fees users paid to each protocol and the part kept by the protocol or its token holders, per protocol and day, including buybacks.
- `dex_swaps_daily` (to build): Swap counts and volume per DEX, pool and chain per day, decoded from Swap events, valued with stablecoin legs and oracle prices.
- `native_prices_daily` (to build): Reference prices of major assets read from on-chain oracle feeds (Chainlink latestRoundData) at each day's last block, with each round's update time.
- Source: Magic Eden marketplace and pool program instructions on Solana, with token balance changes in the same transaction
- Source: Bitcoin transactions that move an inscription and pay its seller, with Magic Eden's fee output
- Source: Marketplace fill events on Ethereum, Base, Polygon and Arbitrum attributed by Magic Eden's fee recipient
- Source: Pool account balances at day-end slots
- Source: Transfers from labelled ME buyback and staking reward addresses, and the DEX swaps that buy ME
- Source: Chainlink SOL/USD, BTC/USD and ETH/USD feeds for USD values

## Questions

### How is Magic Eden volume counted?

As the sum of sale prices of NFTs settled through Magic Eden on each covered chain, valued in USD at the time of each sale, with wash trades removed. Bitcoin Runes trades are fungible tokens and are kept apart from NFT volume.

### How do Bitcoin Ordinals sales work on Magic Eden?

A seller signs a partly completed Bitcoin transaction that offers the inscription for a price, and a buyer completes and broadcasts it. The sale is that one transaction: it moves the inscription to the buyer and pays the seller and the marketplace together.

### What are Magic Eden pools?

Pools let a trader place a ladder of bids and listings for a collection along a price curve, so each fill moves the next price. The SOL deposited is real bid liquidity, which the dashboard reads per collection.

### What does the ME token earn?

Since early 2026 Magic Eden has directed part of its revenue to buying back ME and to USDC rewards for ME stakers, weighted by amount and time staked. The dashboard shows both as on-chain transfers, month by month.

### Is Magic Eden or Tensor bigger on Solana?

The Solana view shows Magic Eden's share of Solana NFT sales value and sale count beside other marketplaces, from the same decoded fills. The answer can differ by measure, so both are shown for the selected period.

## Glossary

- **Ordinals inscription**: Data written into a Bitcoin transaction and assigned to a specific satoshi, which can then be transferred and traded like an NFT.
- **PSBT**: A partially signed Bitcoin transaction. An Ordinals listing is a PSBT signed by the seller and completed by the buyer.
- **Marketplace pool**: A Solana account holding SOL bids and NFTs for sale in one collection, quoting prices along a curve that moves after each fill.
