EigenLayer Restaking: TVL, Operators, AVSs and Slashing
Assets restaked on EigenLayer by strategy, the operators they are delegated to, the AVSs those operators secure and each slashing event.
EthereumHow much ETH left restaking in 2026, and where did it go?
A dated report on restaking in 2026: what left EigenLayer and where it went, the shifts in liquid restaking tokens, slashing and rewards.

Restaking in 2026: Where the Restaked ETH Went
How much was restaked at the start of 2026 and at the latest month end, how much left EigenLayer, where it went and the events that moved it.
Deposits, queued and completed withdrawals and natively restaked ETH in EigenPods each month, by asset.
What happened to weETH, rsETH, ezETH and the other liquid restaking tokens: ether.fi moving restaking out of weETH, the April exploit of Kelp's rsETH bridge with its refill in May and each token's supply month by month.
What the addresses that completed EigenLayer withdrawals did next: staked again through liquid staking, moved to Symbiotic, exited the beacon chain, supplied to lending markets or sent to exchanges.
Collateral deposited in Symbiotic vaults and other restaking protocols over the year, including weETHs, by asset.
Every slashing executed in 2026 and the rewards services paid restakers, set against the stake they could slash.
This report follows the ETH and liquid staking tokens that left restaking in 2026 and traces where they went. It reads EigenLayer's withdrawals month by month, follows the addresses that completed them to their next stop and sets the result beside the deposits that moved to Symbiotic and other restaking protocols.
The year changed restaking's shape. ether.fi removed restaking from weETH in August and moved it into a separate opt-in token built on Symbiotic. The bridge that carried Kelp's rsETH to other chains was exploited in April and refilled in May. Slashing, live on both main protocols since 2025, gave services real penalties to apply. Each of these shows up on-chain and is cited to its transactions.
It is written for restakers, holders of liquid restaking tokens, risk teams and researchers who want the year in one place with receipts. Every figure is pinned to a block before the edition's date.
Every figure will be read at a block, kept with its source and its exact read, and open a receipt anyone can re-check.

The chain shows when and how much, not why. The report records the reasons issuers published, such as ether.fi's decision to take restaking out of weETH, and sets each stated reason beside the withdrawals that followed.
In August 2026 ether.fi removed restaking from weETH, which now earns plain staking rewards, and moved restaking into weETHs, an opt-in token built on Symbiotic. The report follows the ETH that ether.fi undelegated from EigenLayer and what became of it.
The April 2026 attack released rsETH escrowed for other chains rather than draining Kelp's restaked deposits on Ethereum, but it set off withdrawals from lending markets that held rsETH. The report shows rsETH's supply, its backing and the refill of the escrow in May.
The report lists every slashing executed on EigenLayer and Symbiotic during the year with its transaction. Requested slashes that were vetoed or never executed are noted separately, because they took no stake.
The report adds up the rewards services submitted on-chain in 2026 and compares them with the stake they could slash, without counting points or expected airdrops. Whether that is worth the slashing risk is left to the reader.
