# Rug Pull Tracker: New Tokens With Liquidity Pulled

> Rug pull tracker for new tokens: crypto rug pulls in which liquidity was removed or the deployer sold out soon after launch, by chain and day, with receipts.

**Question:** Which newly launched tokens had their liquidity pulled or their deployer sell out within days of launch?

- Kind: Dashboard in Voltfin Vantage
- Topic: [Security and risk](https://voltfincrypto.com/topics/security)
- Chains: Multi-chain, Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Ethereum
- Status: Planned. The data is not published yet, so this page states no figure; each figure will open its receipt when it is.

A rug pull leaves a clear trace on-chain: the liquidity that let people trade a new token is withdrawn, or the deployer and insiders sell their supply into the pool, soon after launch. This dashboard finds those patterns among each day's new tokens on Solana, Base, BNB Chain and Ethereum, and lists the tokens they hit.

Two rules define a rug here, and every flagged token shows which one it tripped: most of a pool's liquidity removed by the address that added it within 7 days of launch, or the deployer and the wallets it funded selling most of their supply in the same window. The rules are published with the dashboard, and each flagged token links to the removal or sell transactions, so a reader can judge each case.

## Blueprint

### Today

Tokens flagged in the last 24 hours and what was pulled.

- **Tokens flagged, 24 hours** (count): New tokens flagged in the last 24 hours for a liquidity pull or a deployer exit.
- **Liquidity pulled, 24 hours** (USD): Value of the liquidity removed from flagged tokens' pools in the last 24 hours, at each removal block.
- **Deployer exits, 24 hours** (count): Flagged tokens whose deployer and funded wallets sold most of their supply into the pool in the last 24 hours.
- **Median time to the pull** (hours): The median time between pool creation and the pull for tokens flagged in the last 24 hours.
- **Flagged tokens**: Each flagged token with chain, launch time, the rule it tripped, value pulled, the deployer and the transactions.

### Trend

How often new tokens are rugged, per chain and day.

- **Share of new tokens rugged** (%): Share of new tokens with a pool that were flagged within 7 days of launch, over the selected period.
- **Share with locked liquidity** (%): Share of new tokens whose pool liquidity was locked or burned at launch, over the selected period.
- **Rug rate by day** (%): Daily share of new tokens flagged within 7 days of launch, per chain.
- **Value pulled by chain** (USD): Value of liquidity pulled from flagged tokens per day, split by chain.

Filters: Chain (Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Ethereum or all); Period (Last 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days).

## How it will be measured

- New tokens and their first pools come from DEX factory PairCreated and PoolCreated events and from launchpad graduation events, per chain and day.
- A liquidity pull is a V2 Burn or a V3 or V4 liquidity decrease, by the address that provided the liquidity, that removes most of the pool within 7 days of its creation.
- A deployer exit is the deployer and the wallets it funded selling most of their supply into the token's pools within the same window, from Transfer logs into the pools.
- Value pulled is the paired asset removed (ETH, SOL, BNB or a stablecoin), valued at oracle prices at the removal block.
- Tokens whose liquidity is locked or burned are marked, with the lock contract and its unlock date where one exists.

## Data it needs

- `token_launches_daily` (to build): New tokens deployed per chain and launchpad per day, how many reached a DEX pool, and how many were abandoned.
- `dex_liquidity_daily` (to build): Liquidity held by each DEX pool at day end, in tokens and valued in USD, with fee tier and pool age.
- `token_holders_snapshot` (to build): Holder counts, top holders and concentration shares of registry tokens at a pinned block, with contract and exchange labels.
- `native_prices_daily` (to build): Reference prices of major assets read from on-chain oracle feeds (Chainlink latestRoundData) at each day's last block, with each round's update time.
- Source: PairCreated and PoolCreated events of DEX factories, and launchpad graduation events
- Source: Uniswap V2-style Burn logs, V3 DecreaseLiquidity logs and V4 ModifyLiquidity logs on each new token's pools
- Source: Transfer logs from the deployer and the wallets it funded into the token's pools
- Source: Pool reserves before and after each removal, at the removal block
- Source: Solana launchpad and AMM program logs for pool creation, withdrawals and deployer sells
- Source: LP lock contract deposits and unlock times where liquidity is locked

## Questions

### What is a rug pull in crypto?

A rug pull is when a token's creators or insiders take the money buyers put in, by withdrawing the pool's liquidity or by selling their own large holdings into it, leaving buyers with tokens that can no longer be sold at a meaningful price.

### How can you tell if a token was rugged?

Look at the pool and the deployer. A sudden removal of most liquidity by the address that added it, or the deployer and the wallets it funded selling into the pool, are the on-chain signs. This dashboard flags both and links the transactions.

### Does locked liquidity prevent a rug pull?

Locked or burned LP tokens stop the liquidity itself from being withdrawn until the lock ends, but they do not stop a deployer from selling a large supply into the pool, minting new tokens or blocking sells. The dashboard shows lock status beside the other checks.

### What is the difference between a hard and a soft rug pull?

A hard rug pull is sudden and built into the token or pool, such as a hidden mint or an immediate liquidity withdrawal. A soft rug is slower: the team stops working and sells its holdings over time. This dashboard flags the fast, on-chain kinds that happen soon after launch.

### Can rug pull losses be recovered?

Rarely. The removed liquidity and sale proceeds sit in the deployer's addresses or move on quickly, often through bridges or mixers, and no issuer can reverse a DEX trade. The dashboard shows where the pulled value went first.

## Glossary

- **Liquidity pool**: A DEX contract that holds two tokens so anyone can trade between them; a new token usually has one main pool.
- **LP token**: The token a liquidity provider receives for a deposit, which is burned to withdraw it; locking or burning it blocks the withdrawal.
- **Deployer**: The address that created a token's contract, often also the first liquidity provider and the largest early holder.
