**Question:** Is every SolvBTC backed by bitcoin, and where do its reserves sit?

- Kind: Dashboard in Voltfin Vantage
- Topic: [Bitcoin](https://voltfincrypto.com/topics/bitcoin)
- Chains: BNB Chain, Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Avalanche, Bitcoin
- Status: Planned. The data is not published yet, so this page states no figure; each figure will open its receipt when it is.

SolvBTC is Solv's bitcoin reserve token: it is minted one for one against BTC or wrapped bitcoin deposited with Solv and moves across many chains. This dashboard adds up SolvBTC on every chain and sets it against the reserves behind it, split into the wrapped bitcoin held in Solv's vault contracts, which can be read on each chain, and the native BTC held with custodians, which Solv reports through an on-chain proof-of-reserve feed.

Yield sits one step away. Holders who stake SolvBTC through Solv's router receive xSolvBTC, the token formerly called SolvBTC.BBN, whose exchange rate in SolvBTC rises with the returns of Solv's strategies, Babylon staking among them. The dashboard shows how much SolvBTC is staked that way and what the rate has paid.

Redemptions burn SolvBTC into a redemption token, which Solv settles before the holder claims the underlying asset; the dashboard shows requests waiting and how long recent ones took. Every figure names its block and read, and reported figures are labelled as reported.

## Blueprint

### Supply and reserves

SolvBTC on every chain against the reserves behind it.

- **SolvBTC supply** (SolvBTC): SolvBTC totalSupply added across every chain at each chain's day-end block.
- **Reserves read on-chain** (BTC): Wrapped bitcoin held by Solv's reserve vaults on every chain at the latest block, in BTC.
- **Reserves reported** (BTC): Native BTC that Solv reports as held with custodians, from its proof-of-reserve feed's latest round, labelled as reported.
- **Reserves against supply** (ratio): Reserves read on-chain plus reserves reported, divided by SolvBTC supply at the same time.
- **Reserves by asset**: SolvBTC's backing by asset: each wrapped bitcoin token in reserve vaults and native BTC reported by custodians.
- **SolvBTC supply by chain** (SolvBTC): SolvBTC supply on each chain it is issued on, per day.

### Yield and redemptions

xSolvBTC, redemption times and each reserve vault.

- **xSolvBTC supply** (xSolvBTC): xSolvBTC supply across chains at the latest day-end blocks: the SolvBTC staked for yield.
- **SolvBTC per xSolvBTC** (SolvBTC): xSolvBTC's exchange rate in SolvBTC at its latest on-chain update.
- **Days from request to claim** (days): The median number of days between a redemption request and its claim, by week of request.
- **Reserve vaults**: Each reserve vault with its chain, asset, balance at the latest block and the SolvBTC minted against it.

Filters: Chain (Every chain SolvBTC is issued on).

## How it will be measured

- SolvBTC and xSolvBTC supply are each chain's totalSupply at its day-end block, added across chains because cross-chain moves burn on one chain and mint on the other.
- On-chain reserves are the balances of each wrapped bitcoin token held by Solv's reserve vault contracts at the same blocks.
- Custodied BTC is the value in Solv's proof-of-reserve feed at its latest round, shown as a reported figure with the feed's address and update time.
- Redemptions come from the router's redemption events and the claims that close them.

## Data it needs

- `token_supply_daily` (to build): Total supply of each registry token on each chain at day end: wrapped BTC, liquid staking tokens, tokenized assets and other tracked tokens.
- `defi_tvl_daily` (to build): Assets deposited in DeFi protocols per protocol, chain and asset at day end, valued with oracle prices, never double counting receipt tokens.
- `native_prices_daily` (to build): Reference prices of major assets read from on-chain oracle feeds (Chainlink latestRoundData) at each day's last block, with each round's update time.
- `yield_rates_daily` (to build): Supply rates, staking yields and vault share-price growth per pool and vault per day, in one comparable table.
- `bridge_flows_daily` (to build): Deposits into and withdrawals out of canonical and major third-party bridges by chain, token and day, plus escrow balances at day end.

## Questions

### What is SolvBTC?

SolvBTC is Solv's bitcoin reserve token, minted one for one against BTC or wrapped bitcoin deposited with Solv. It moves across chains for use in DeFi, while the deposits stay in reserve vaults or with custodians and can be redeemed.

### What is the difference between SolvBTC and xSolvBTC?

SolvBTC tracks bitcoin one for one and earns nothing by itself. xSolvBTC is SolvBTC staked through Solv's router for yield, including Babylon staking; its exchange rate in SolvBTC rises over time. xSolvBTC was earlier called SolvBTC.BBN.

### What backs SolvBTC?

Wrapped bitcoin such as WBTC, cbBTC and BTCB held in Solv's vault contracts, which can be read on each chain, and native BTC held with custodians, which Solv reports through an on-chain proof-of-reserve feed. The dashboard shows the two apart and never treats a reported figure as a chain read.

### How does redeeming SolvBTC work?

A redemption request burns SolvBTC and issues a redemption token. Solv settles the request off-chain, and the holder then claims the underlying asset. The dashboard shows requests waiting and how long recent ones took from request to claim.

### Which bridges does SolvBTC use?

SolvBTC moves between chains by burning on one and minting on another through cross-chain messages. In 2026 Solv moved its tokens to Chainlink's CCIP and dropped older bridge routes on some chains, so the dashboard matches each chain's supply to the messages that moved it.

## Glossary

- **Reserve vault**: A Solv contract on an EVM chain that holds the wrapped bitcoin deposited to mint SolvBTC.
- **Proof-of-reserve feed**: An on-chain oracle feed that reports reserves held off-chain; it shows what was reported, not what the chain itself holds.
- **Redemption token**: The token Solv issues when SolvBTC is redeemed, exchanged for the underlying asset once the request is settled.
- **xSolvBTC**: Solv's yield-bearing token, earlier called SolvBTC.BBN, minted by staking SolvBTC; its rate in SolvBTC rises with strategy returns.
