About

What it answers, and for whom.

Stablecoins are how most money arrives at crypto exchanges, and their movements are public. This dashboard reads every USDT and USDC transfer into and out of labelled exchange wallets on each covered chain, day by day, and shows the net flow by chain and by exchange, beside the stablecoin balance exchanges hold.

Tron carries much of the USDT that reaches exchanges and Ethereum carries large USDC transfers, while BNB Chain, layer 2s and Solana carry the rest, so a single total hides where money is moving. Fresh mints are followed too: when Tether or Circle issues new tokens and they reach an exchange within a day, the dashboard counts them apart from coins that were already circulating.

Inflows show money arriving at venues, not what it will be used for: trading, margin, a fiat withdrawal or a transfer between desks. Each figure links to the transfers behind it.

Method

How it will be measured.

Every figure will be read at a block, kept with its source and its exact read, and open a receipt anyone can re-check.

How receipts work →
  1. Flows are USDT and USDC Transfer logs into and out of labelled exchange wallets on each covered chain, summed per day in token units, with each chain's native coin kept apart from bridged copies.
  2. Deposit addresses are identified by their sweeps into an exchange's hot wallet, so a deposit counts when it reaches the deposit address and the sweep that follows is treated as an internal move.
  3. Fresh mints are USDT Issue and USDC Mint events whose tokens reach a labelled exchange wallet within a day, traced through the issuers' treasury addresses.
  4. Balances held on exchanges are balanceOf for the same wallets at each day's last block, per stablecoin and chain.

Questions

Questions people ask.

What do stablecoin inflows to exchanges show?

Stablecoins sent to an exchange are usually there to trade, to post as margin or to cash out. Large inflows show money arriving at venues, which traders watch as available buying power, but the transfer itself does not say what it will be used for.

Why does so much USDT move on Tron?

USDT on Tron costs less to send than on Ethereum, exchanges accept it widely and it is common for payments and remittances in many markets. Exchanges therefore receive much of their USDT through Tron, and the dashboard shows each chain's flows separately.

What is exchange netflow?

Value sent into exchange wallets minus value sent out over a period. A positive netflow means more stablecoins arrived at exchanges than left; transfers between one exchange's own wallets are removed first.

Do new USDT and USDC mints go straight to exchanges?

Some do. Issuers mint to their treasury addresses and send to customers, which include exchanges and trading firms. The dashboard follows new tokens for a day after the mint and counts the part that reaches an exchange wallet.

Are stablecoins on exchanges the same as exchange reserves?

They overlap. The balances here are stablecoins in labelled exchange wallets, mostly customer deposits. Proof of reserves compares those holdings with what an exchange owes its customers, which needs the exchange's own liability report.

Sweep
The transfer an exchange makes from a customer's deposit address into its hot wallet, which shows that the deposit address belongs to the exchange.
Fresh mint
Stablecoins newly issued by Tether or Circle, as opposed to tokens already in circulation.
Treasury address
An issuer's address that receives newly minted stablecoins before they are sent on to customers.
