About

What it answers, and for whom.

This report is a monthly record of the stablecoin market: how supply changed and where, which issuers gained or lost share, how much was minted and redeemed, how much stablecoins moved and whether any coin left its peg. Each edition covers one calendar month and compares its last block with the last block of the month before.

It is meant to be read in a few minutes and checked in as much depth as needed. Every figure is cited to the reads behind it, so a treasury team, an analyst or a journalist can open the receipt instead of trusting the summary.

Method

How it will be measured.

Every figure will be read at a block, kept with its source and its exact read, and open a receipt anyone can re-check.

How receipts work →
  1. Month-end figures are read at the last block of the month's last UTC day on every covered chain and compared with the same reads a month earlier.
  2. Issuance is the month's mint and burn events per issuer, with cross-chain moves matched and left out, so only real issuance and redemption count.
  3. Activity is adjusted transfer volume, with routing hops, bots, round trips and same-entity transfers removed.
  4. Peg deviations come from DEX pool prices weighted by liquidity, and a depeg is recorded only when the price stays outside a one-percent band for a full hour.

Questions

Questions people ask.

When is each edition published?

Shortly after each month ends, once every covered chain has reported its last block of the month. Each edition is dated and keeps its figures; corrections appear as a new version with a note.

Why compare month-end supply rather than averages?

A month-end read at a pinned block gives one exact figure per coin and chain that anyone can re-run. Averages are used only for activity, where a single day says little.

What does a fall in stablecoin supply mean?

That issuers redeemed more than they issued during the month: holders returned tokens for dollars. The report shows which coins and chains the redemptions came from.

Does the review cover euro stablecoins?

Yes, in their own table and in euros. Euro figures are never added to dollar figures.

Net issuance
Tokens minted minus tokens burned over a period: positive when supply was added, negative when it was redeemed.
