# Stablecoin Market Monthly Review

> A monthly stablecoin report: supply change by coin and chain, issuer share, mints and burns, adjusted transfer volume and peg deviations, pinned to blocks.

**Question:** What changed in stablecoin supply, issuer share and activity last month?

- Kind: Report in Voltfin Folio
- Topic: [Stablecoins](https://voltfincrypto.com/topics/stablecoins)
- Chains: Multi-chain, Ethereum, Tron, Solana
- Status: Planned. The data is not published yet, so this page states no figure; each figure will open its receipt when it is.

This report is a monthly record of the stablecoin market: how supply changed and where, which issuers gained or lost share, how much was minted and redeemed, how much stablecoins moved and whether any coin left its peg. Each edition covers one calendar month and compares its last block with the last block of the month before.

It is meant to be read in a few minutes and checked in as much depth as needed. Every figure is cited to the reads behind it, so a treasury team, an analyst or a journalist can open the receipt instead of trusting the summary.

## Blueprint

### The month in one paragraph

How much supply changed, which coin and chain moved most and whether any coin left its peg.

Cites: Supply at month end; Change on the month.

### Issuers and share

Each issuer's supply and share at month end and how they changed, with euro coins in a table of their own.

Cites: Supply and share by issuer; Share change by issuer; Euro stablecoin supply.

### Minted and redeemed

Mints and burns per issuer and chain, with the largest single events and their transactions.

Cites: Minted by issuer; Burned by issuer; Largest mint and largest burn.

### Chains

Supply by chain at month end, with the chains that grew or shrank; native against bridged supply.

Cites: Supply by chain; Change by chain.

### Activity

Adjusted transfer volume and active senders by chain, compared with the month before.

Cites: Adjusted volume; Active senders.

### Pegs and freezes

Any depeg during the month with its depth and length, and the balances issuers froze.

Cites: Depegs in the month; Balances frozen.

## How it will be measured

- Month-end figures are read at the last block of the month's last UTC day on every covered chain and compared with the same reads a month earlier.
- Issuance is the month's mint and burn events per issuer, with cross-chain moves matched and left out, so only real issuance and redemption count.
- Activity is adjusted transfer volume, with routing hops, bots, round trips and same-entity transfers removed.
- Peg deviations come from DEX pool prices weighted by liquidity, and a depeg is recorded only when the price stays outside a one-percent band for a full hour.

## Data it needs

- `stablecoin_supply_global_daily` (published): Cross-chain native supply per stablecoin and peg per day, on the latest day every chain has reported.
- `stablecoin_supply_totals_daily` (published): Each chain's native stablecoin supply per peg per day, added up from the per-token rows, never mixing pegs or native and bridged supply.
- `stablecoin_flows_daily` (to build): Stablecoin mints, burns, transfer volume and active addresses per stablecoin and chain per day.
- `stablecoin_pegs_daily` (to build): How far each stablecoin trades from its peg, from DEX pool prices and on-chain oracle feeds, with the deepest deviation of each day.
- `stablecoin_freezes` (to build): Addresses frozen or blacklisted by stablecoin issuers, the balances frozen, and later unfreezes or destroyed funds, per stablecoin and chain.
- `stablecoins` (published): Every tracked stablecoin contract: issuer, peg, chain, decimals and whether it is native or bridged.
- Source: totalSupply() of every registered stablecoin at the last block of each month on each covered chain
- Source: Mint and burn events per issuer, with cross-chain transfers matched
- Source: Transfer events per coin and chain, for adjusted volume and active senders
- Source: Liquidity-weighted DEX pool prices of each coin, for peg deviations
- Source: Issuer freeze events, such as USDT AddedBlackList and USDC Blacklisted

## Questions

### When is each edition published?

Shortly after each month ends, once every covered chain has reported its last block of the month. Each edition is dated and keeps its figures; corrections appear as a new version with a note.

### Why compare month-end supply rather than averages?

A month-end read at a pinned block gives one exact figure per coin and chain that anyone can re-run. Averages are used only for activity, where a single day says little.

### What does a fall in stablecoin supply mean?

That issuers redeemed more than they issued during the month: holders returned tokens for dollars. The report shows which coins and chains the redemptions came from.

### Does the review cover euro stablecoins?

Yes, in their own table and in euros. Euro figures are never added to dollar figures.

## Glossary

- **Net issuance**: Tokens minted minus tokens burned over a period: positive when supply was added, negative when it was redeemed.
