# Staking Monthly Report: ETH, SOL and Proof-of-Stake Networks

> A monthly staking report: ETH staked and the validator entry and exit queues, liquid staking and restaking shares, SOL staked and staking yields by chain.

**Question:** How did staking change this month: how much ETH and SOL is staked, how long are the queues and what are stakers earning?

- Kind: Report in Voltfin Folio
- Topic: [Staking and restaking](https://voltfincrypto.com/topics/staking)
- Chains: Multi-chain, Ethereum, Solana, Cardano, Sui, Aptos, Avalanche, NEAR, TON, Polkadot, Cosmos, Tron, BNB Chain
- Status: Planned. The data is not published yet, so this page states no figure; each figure will open its receipt when it is.

Staking secures proof-of-stake networks and pays holders for it, and a single month can move a lot: validators queue to enter or leave Ethereum, liquid staking tokens gain or lose share, restaked ETH shifts between services. This report records each month in one dated edition, with every figure read from the chains and pinned to a block or epoch.

It starts with Ethereum, the largest staking economy, then covers Solana and the other major proof-of-stake networks side by side: staked supply, the staking ratio, the rewards stakers actually received and how much of them new issuance offset. Staking by spot ETFs and by liquid staking protocols is shown apart, so concentration stays visible.

## Blueprint

### The month in one paragraph

How much was staked across covered networks, the biggest changes and what drove them.

Cites: ETH staked; SOL staked; Change from last month.

### Ethereum staking and queues

ETH staked and active validators at month end, the deposits and withdrawals made during the month and how long the entry and exit queues were at month end and at their peak.

Cites: Entry queue; Exit queue; Net ETH staked in the month.

### Liquid staking, ETFs and restaking

The share of staked ETH held by each liquid staking protocol, by ETFs and by restaking protocols, with each one's realized yield.

Cites: Liquid staking share; ETH staked by ETFs; ETH restaked.

### Solana

SOL staked, the staking ratio, stake moving between validators, the liquid staking share and the rewards paid.

Cites: Solana staking ratio; Liquid staked SOL.

### Other proof-of-stake networks

Staked supply, staking ratio, rewards and supply growth on Cardano, Sui, Aptos, Avalanche, NEAR, TON, Polkadot, Cosmos and others.

Cites: Staking ratio by network; Yield after supply growth by network.

### Slashing and incidents

Slashing events, missed rewards and outages that affected stakers in the month, with the epochs in which they happened.

## How it will be measured

- Ethereum figures come from the beacon chain at the month's last epoch: active validators, effective balances and the entry and exit queues, with the deposits and withdrawals made in the month.
- Liquid staking and restaking shares are each protocol's staked or restaked ETH at month end, read from its contracts and attributed through withdrawal credentials.
- Realized yield is the change in each liquid staking token's exchange rate over the month, annualized; network yields come from rewards actually paid in the month.
- Other networks' staked supply, staking ratio and rewards are read from each chain's own staking state at the month's last block or epoch.

## Data it needs

- `eth_staking_daily` (to build): Active validators, ETH staked, deposits, withdrawals and the entry and exit queues on the Ethereum beacon chain, by day, with staking-provider labels where known.
- `lst_rates_daily` (to build): Exchange rates of liquid staking and restaking tokens (wstETH, rETH, cbETH, weETH and others) at day end, and the realized yield they imply.
- `restaking_daily` (to build): Assets restaked per restaking protocol, strategy and operator per day, and what is delegated to each service.
- `staking_networks_daily` (to build): Staked supply, staking ratio, validators and nominal rewards per proof-of-stake network per day.
- `etf_holdings_daily` (to build): Holdings and daily flows of spot crypto ETFs per fund, from issuer-published holdings, matched to custody addresses where they are disclosed.
- Source: Beacon chain state at the month's last epoch: validators, balances and queues
- Source: Deposit contract events and withdrawals in the month
- Source: Liquid staking token exchange-rate getters at month start and end
- Source: Restaking strategy shares and delegations at month end
- Source: Each network's staking state from its own RPC at the month's last block or epoch

## Questions

### What is the staking ratio?

The share of a network's token supply that is staked. A high ratio means most holders lock their tokens to earn rewards; a low one can mean staking pays less, is harder to access or that tokens are used elsewhere, such as in DeFi.

### What do the validator queues tell us?

Ethereum limits how fast validators can join or leave, so demand to stake or unstake forms queues. A long entry queue means more ETH waiting to be staked; a long exit queue means more waiting to be withdrawn. The report gives both at month end and at their peaks.

### Is staking yield the same everywhere?

No. Each network sets its own issuance and fee rewards, and a nominal yield says little on its own. The report sets each network's reward rate beside its supply growth, so yields after dilution can be compared.

### How much ETH do ETFs stake?

Some US ether ETFs began staking in 2025. The report shows the ETH that ETFs report as staked beside the validators their staking providers run where those can be identified, so it can be compared with liquid staking protocols.

### Why does restaking appear in a staking report?

Restaking reuses staked ETH to secure other services, adding rewards and slashing risk on top of staking. The report shows how much staked ETH is restaked each month and which protocols and services hold it.

## Glossary

- **Effective balance**: The part of a validator's balance that counts toward its weight and rewards on Ethereum.
- **Liquid staking token**: A token that represents staked assets and their rewards, so stakers can use their position while it stays staked.
- **Issuance**: New tokens a network creates to pay stakers, which dilutes holders who do not stake.
