**Question:** How much collateral sits in each Symbiotic vault, and which networks does it secure?

- Kind: Table in Voltfin Strata
- Topic: [Staking and restaking](https://voltfincrypto.com/topics/staking)
- Chains: Ethereum
- Status: Planned. The data is not published yet, so this page states no figure; each figure will open its receipt when it is.

Symbiotic is a restaking protocol built from vaults: each vault accepts one collateral token, delegates it to operators who secure networks and decides how that stake can be slashed. This table lists every vault registered on Ethereum with its collateral, the stake it holds, the networks and operators it backs and its slashing setup, read from the vault contracts.

Vaults differ more than restaking pools usually do. One may accept wstETH, another LBTC or a stablecoin; one may let a network slash at once, another may route every request through a resolver who can veto it. Those settings decide the risk a depositor takes, so they sit in the table beside the size of each vault.

Sort by value to find the largest vaults or filter by collateral to compare vaults that take the same token. Open any row to see the reads behind it. Vaults whose collateral is itself a restaking token are flagged, so the same ETH is not counted twice across tables.

## Blueprint

One row: One row per Symbiotic vault on Ethereum, on the latest complete day

- **Vault** (`vault`): The vault's contract address and name, linked to its entry in the vault factory.
- **Curator** (`curator`): The team that manages the vault's delegation and settings, from its public listing.
- **Collateral** (`collateral`): The token the vault accepts, read from collateral(): wstETH, weETH, LBTC, a stablecoin or another.
- **Active stake** (`active_stake`, collateral): activeStake() at the day's last block: collateral that is delegated and can be slashed.
- **Value** (`value_usd`, USD): Active stake valued at an oracle price for the collateral at the same block.
- **Networks** (`networks`): Networks the vault's delegator gives stake to, with operators opted in.
- **Operators** (`operators`): Operators holding stake from the vault at the latest block.
- **Delegation model** (`delegation_model`): The delegator type: network restake, full restake, operator-specific or operator and network specific.
- **Slasher** (`slasher`): Instant slasher, veto slasher with a resolver or none.
- **Epoch length** (`epoch`): The vault's epoch duration, which sets how long a withdrawal stays slashable.
- **Slashed** (`slashed`, collateral): Collateral taken by executed slashes since the vault was created.
- **Receipt** (`receipt`): The block, contracts and reads behind the row.

## How it will be measured

- Vaults are found from the vault factory's AddEntity events; each vault's collateral(), delegator, slasher and epoch duration are read from its contracts.
- Active stake is activeStake() at each day's last block, valued with an oracle price for the collateral at the same block.
- Networks and operators come from the network and operator registries, the opt-in services and each delegator's stake for every network and operator pair.
- Slashed amounts are counted from executed slash events; requests vetoed by a resolver are kept apart and not counted.

## Data it needs

- `restaking_daily` (to build): Assets restaked per restaking protocol, strategy and operator per day, and what is delegated to each service.
- `native_prices_daily` (to build): Reference prices of major assets read from on-chain oracle feeds (Chainlink latestRoundData) at each day's last block, with each round's update time.
- `lst_rates_daily` (to build): Exchange rates of liquid staking and restaking tokens (wstETH, rETH, cbETH, weETH and others) at day end, and the realized yield they imply.
- `address_labels` (to build): Labels for known addresses: exchanges, bridges, protocols, funds, treasuries, sanctioned addresses and known attackers.

- Source: Each vault's collateral(), activeStake(), delegator, slasher and epoch duration at day-end blocks
- Source: Delegator stakes per network and operator pair, with the opt-in services of networks and operators
- Source: Slasher Slash events and veto slasher request, veto and execute events
- Source: Oracle prices for each collateral token at the same blocks

## Questions

### What is Symbiotic?

A restaking protocol on Ethereum where anyone can create a vault that accepts a collateral token and lends its security to networks through operators. Networks pay rewards and can slash the collateral if operators break their rules, under the conditions each vault sets.

### What is a Symbiotic vault curator?

The team that manages a vault's delegation: which networks and operators get its stake and how much. Curators do not hold depositors' keys, but their choices decide where the stake can be slashed.

### How do Symbiotic withdrawals work?

Withdrawals wait until the end of the vault's next epoch and stay slashable until then, so a network can still penalize stake for misbehavior that came before the request. The epoch length column shows how long that is for each vault.

### What is a veto slasher?

A slasher that holds every slashing request for a set window, during which a resolver chosen by the network can veto it. An instant slasher executes requests at once. Depositors in veto vaults rely on the resolver as an extra check.

### How does Symbiotic differ from EigenLayer?

EigenLayer pools assets in shared strategies and lets operators allocate stake to services; Symbiotic gives each vault its own collateral, delegation rules and slashing setup. The restaking AVS table compares the services on both.

## Glossary

- **Vault**: A Symbiotic contract that holds one collateral token and delegates it to networks and operators under its own rules.
- **Curator**: The team that sets a vault's delegation: which networks and operators receive its stake and how much.
- **Delegator**: The vault module that decides how stake is shared among networks and operators.
- **Vault epoch**: A vault's accounting period; a withdrawal stays slashable until the end of the epoch after it is requested.
