**Question:** Which NFT collections sell the most, how many buyers do they reach and how concentrated is their ownership?

- Kind: Table in Voltfin Strata
- Topic: [NFTs and gaming](https://voltfincrypto.com/topics/nft-gaming)
- Chains: Multi-chain, Ethereum, Solana, Bitcoin, Base, Polygon
- Status: Planned. The data is not published yet, so this page states no figure; each figure will open its receipt when it is.

This table ranks NFT collections by the value of their sales over the last 30 days, after removing wash trades, across Ethereum, Solana, Bitcoin, Base and Polygon. Each row adds what a ranking by volume alone leaves out: how many distinct buyers there were, what the median and lowest sales were, how many holders the collection has and how much of it the largest holders own.

There is no floor price column, on purpose. A floor is the cheapest listing, and on most marketplaces listings are signed orders kept off-chain that can change without a trace. Sale prices, buyers and holders are on-chain facts, so every cell opens the reads behind it; collection pages show the true floor where listings themselves are on-chain, as with CryptoPunks.

## Blueprint

One row: One row per collection per chain, over the latest 30 complete days

- **Collection** (`collection`): The collection's name, linked to its contract or, for Ordinals, to its inscriptions.
- **Chain** (`chain`): The chain this row's sales and holders are read on.
- **Sales, 30 days** (`sales_value_30d`, USD): Sales value over the latest 30 complete days, valued at each sale's block, wash trades excluded.
- **Change** (`change_30d`): Change in sales value against the 30 days before.
- **Sales count** (`sales_30d`): Sales over the same 30 days, wash trades excluded.
- **Buyers** (`buyers_30d`): Distinct buyer addresses over the same 30 days.
- **Median sale** (`median_price`): Median sale price over the 30 days, in the chain's payment token.
- **Low sale, 7 days** (`low_sale_7d`): Lowest sale price of the last seven days, wash trades excluded: an on-chain stand-in for the floor.
- **Holders** (`holders`): Distinct addresses holding at least one item at the latest block, custody contracts assigned to owners.
- **Top-ten share** (`top10_share`): Share of the collection's items held by its ten largest addresses, marketplace and escrow contracts excluded.
- **Wash share** (`wash_share`): Share of the 30-day sales value flagged as wash trading.
- **Receipt** (`receipt`): The blocks and reads behind the row's sales and holder figures.

## How it will be measured

- Sales are decoded from marketplace fills on each chain, valued in USD at the block of each sale and summed per collection over the latest 30 complete days.
- Wash trades are flagged when buyer and seller are the same, one funded the other shortly before or an item circles among a few wallets; flagged value has its own column and is left out of the ranking.
- Holders are distinct addresses owning at least one item at the latest block, with items in staking, lending or wrapper contracts assigned to their owners where the contract records them.
- Top-ten share is the part of a collection's items held by its ten largest addresses after marketplace and escrow contracts are set aside.
- A collection on several chains has one row per chain; bridged or wrapped copies are never added to the original.

## Data it needs

- `nft_sales_daily` (to build): NFT sales per collection, marketplace and chain per day: sales, buyers, sellers and volume in the payment token.
- `token_holders_snapshot` (to build): Holder counts, top holders and concentration shares of registry tokens at a pinned block, with contract and exchange labels.
- `bitcoin_inscriptions_daily` (to build): Inscriptions, rune etchings and mints, BRC-20 transfers, and the fees they paid per day.
- `address_labels` (to build): Labels for known addresses: exchanges, bridges, protocols, funds, treasuries, sanctioned addresses and known attackers.
- `native_prices_daily` (to build): Reference prices of major assets read from on-chain oracle feeds (Chainlink latestRoundData) at each day's last block, with each round's update time.
- Source: Marketplace fill events on Ethereum, Base and Polygon, such as Seaport and Blur executions
- Source: Solana marketplace program instructions for NFT sales
- Source: Bitcoin transactions that move an inscription and pay its seller together
- Source: ERC-721 and ERC-1155 Transfer logs and Solana token accounts, for holders at the latest block
- Source: Chainlink price feeds at each sale block, for USD values

## Questions

### What are the top NFT collections right now?

The table ranks collections by sales value over the last 30 days, after removing wash trades, on Ethereum, Solana, Bitcoin, Base and Polygon. Sort by buyers or holders instead to see the breadth of demand rather than price.

### Why is there no floor price column?

A floor is the cheapest listing, and on most marketplaces listings are signed orders kept off-chain. The table shows the lowest and median sale prices of recent days, which are on-chain facts; collection pages note where listings themselves are on-chain.

### How are holders counted?

Holders are distinct addresses owning at least one item at the latest block. Items held in staking, lending or wrapper contracts are assigned to the owner the contract records, so custody neither inflates nor hides holders.

### What does the top-ten share show?

How concentrated a collection is: the share of its items held by its ten largest addresses, after marketplaces and escrows are set aside. A high share means a few wallets can move its market.

### How are Bitcoin Ordinals collections included?

Ordinals collections are ranked from sales in which an inscription and its payment settle in one Bitcoin transaction, and holders are the addresses holding each inscription. They sit in the same table with Bitcoin as their chain.

## Glossary

- **Low sale**: The lowest price paid for an item over a recent window after wash trades are removed, used here in place of a listing floor.
- **Wash trade**: A sale in which buyer and seller are in effect the same party, adding volume without a real change of ownership.
- **Top-ten share**: The share of a collection's items held by its ten largest addresses: a simple measure of concentration.
