NEAR Intents Volume: Swaps and Cross-Chain Fills

How much volume goes through NEAR Intents each day, and between which chains?

About

What it answers, and for whom.

NEAR Intents lets a user sign the outcome they want, such as selling a token on one chain for a token on another, and lets competing solvers fill it. Every swap settles in one verifier contract on NEAR, intents.near, which holds deposited assets as multi-token balances and executes a swap only when the user's and the solver's signed changes net to zero.

This dashboard counts what that contract settles each day: swap volume, the chains assets arrive from and leave to, the assets traded and the solvers that filled them. Volume is valued from a swap's stablecoin leg where there is one and from DEX prices at the fill block otherwise, and every figure links to the NEAR receipts behind it.

Method

How it will be measured.

Every figure will be read at a block, kept with its source and its exact read, and open a receipt anyone can re-check.

How receipts work →
  1. Swaps are read from execute_intents receipts of the intents.near verifier and their token_diff events, which record each side's change per token; a swap counts once, at the value of one side.
  2. Deposits and withdrawals are the verifier's multi-token mint and burn events, matched to the bridge and chain-signature addresses on each origin chain to name where assets came from and where they went.
  3. Solvers are the accounts that sign the opposite side of a token_diff; their count and share come from those signatures, not from a list.
  4. USD value uses the swap's stablecoin leg where there is one, otherwise DEX prices at the fill block; a swap without a price is listed as unpriced and kept out of totals.
  5. Daily figures are summed per UTC day by NEAR block timestamp, and each fill names its receipt and block.

Questions

Questions people ask.

What is NEAR Intents?

A system on NEAR where users sign the result they want and solvers compete to deliver it. Assets are deposited into a verifier contract, swapped there between user and solver and withdrawn to the destination chain, so a user does not have to bridge and trade step by step.

What is a solver?

An account, usually run by a market maker, that quotes a price for an intent and fills it from its own inventory. Solvers compete on price and speed, and the verifier settles a swap only when both sides' signed changes match.

Which chains does NEAR Intents connect?

Assets arrive from many networks, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and other EVM and non-EVM chains, through bridge and chain-signature addresses. The dashboard lists every origin and destination chain it finds in the data.

How is NEAR Intents volume counted?

Each swap counts once, valued at one side, in the UTC day it settled. Deposits and withdrawals are shown separately, so moving an asset in and out is not counted as trading.

Is NEAR Intents a bridge?

Not exactly. Bridges and chain signatures move assets in and out; the verifier contract is where swaps settle. A cross-chain swap usually combines a deposit, a swap with a solver and a withdrawal.

Intent
A signed statement of the outcome a user wants, such as receiving a token amount, which solvers compete to fill.
Verifier contract
The intents.near contract on NEAR that holds deposited assets as balances and settles signed intents atomically.
NEP-245
NEAR's multi-token standard, under which the verifier holds every deposited asset as a balance inside one contract.
Chain signatures
A NEAR feature that lets NEAR accounts control addresses on other chains through a shared signing network.
