About

What it answers, and for whom.

Every stablecoin on Solana is an SPL token whose total supply is recorded in its mint account, so the supply of each coin can be read directly from the chain. This dashboard reads the supply of each stablecoin issued natively on Solana at each day's boundary and adds the coins up by peg. It also follows the mints, burns and transfers that change and move that supply.

Native issuance and bridged copies are kept apart, so a coin bridged in from another chain is never counted as if it were issued on Solana. Use it to see which coins grow, how concentrated Solana's stablecoin supply is and how much moves each day; every figure is pinned to the slot it was read at, with a receipt.

Method

How it will be measured.

Every figure will be read at a block, kept with its source and its exact read, and open a receipt anyone can re-check.

How receipts work →
  1. Supply is the supply field of each stablecoin's mint account, read at the first slot after each UTC day boundary and scaled by its decimals, under the Token Program or Token-2022.
  2. Each daily reading is checked against the mint and burn instructions since the previous one, so every change in supply can be traced to the transactions that made it.
  3. Only coins issued natively on Solana count toward the totals; bridged and wrapped versions are listed apart with their bridge.
  4. Transfer volume and active addresses come from the token transfer instructions of each mint, leaving out transfers between accounts of the same owner.
  5. Totals are kept per peg, with US dollar and euro coins apart, and every figure carries a receipt with the slot and the account read.

Questions

Questions people ask.

Which stablecoins are on Solana?

USDC and USDT have long been the largest, joined by coins such as PYUSD, USDG, USD1 and EURC that their issuers launched natively on Solana. The dashboard lists every coin it tracks with its issuer, its token program and whether it is native or bridged.

How is stablecoin supply on Solana measured?

From the mint account of each coin, which records its total supply. The reading is taken once a day at a known slot and reconciled with the mint and burn instructions in between, so each change has transactions behind it.

What is the difference between native and bridged stablecoins?

A native stablecoin is issued on Solana by its issuer, who redeems it directly. A bridged one is a token minted by a bridge against coins locked on another chain, and its value depends on that bridge. The dashboard counts only native supply in its totals.

What is Token-2022?

Solana's newer token program, also called Token Extensions, which adds features such as transfer hooks, confidential transfers and permanent delegates. Some stablecoins, including PYUSD, use it, so the dashboard reads mints under both token programs.

Mint account
The Solana account that defines an SPL token and records its total supply and the authority allowed to mint it.
Mint authority
The key allowed to create new units of a token; for a stablecoin, it is held by the issuer.
Token-2022
Solana's extended token program, with optional features issuers can switch on for their tokens.
Bridged stablecoin
A token minted by a bridge on one chain to represent a stablecoin locked on another.
