Base is the layer 2 incubated by Coinbase, and Circle issues USDC on it natively, which makes it a common chain for dollar payments and the apps built on them. This dashboard reads the supply of every tracked stablecoin on Base from its contract and counts how many transfers, senders and receivers use them each day.
Native and bridged coins are kept apart: USDbC, the bridged USDC from Base's early days, is shown beside native USDC and never added to it. USDC also moves to and from Base through Circle's cross-chain transfer protocol, which burns on one chain and mints on the other; those flows have a chart of their own.
Read supply by coin first, then the transfer charts and size bands to see whether activity is many small payments or a few large movements. Every figure opens the Base block and the read behind it.
Every figure will be read at a block, kept with its source and its exact read, and open a receipt anyone can re-check.

USDC on Base is issued natively by Circle and redeemable with it. USDbC is an older bridged copy, minted on Base against USDC locked in the Base bridge on Ethereum; it is shown separately and never added to native USDC.
Fees on Base are low because it posts its transactions to Ethereum in batches. USDC is also native there, and many wallets, exchanges and payment apps support it, so small and frequent transfers are practical.
Circle's cross-chain transfer protocol, which moves USDC between chains by burning it on the source chain and minting the same amount on the destination, so no bridged copy is created.
