Transactions, latest day
countTransactions finalized in Sui checkpoints on the latest complete UTC day.
How many transactions does Sui process, and what do they pay in gas?
Sui by day: transactions, senders and throughput from checkpoints, gas split into computation, storage and rebates, with the SUI staked.
The dashboard as it will open in Vantage. Each figure is named here and arrives with its receipt; until its data is published, its place stays empty.
Transactions, senders, throughput and how much activity needed consensus.
Transactions finalized in Sui checkpoints on the latest complete UTC day.
Distinct addresses that signed transactions on the latest complete day.
The latest complete day's transactions divided by the seconds its checkpoints span.
Transactions that used at least one shared object, and so needed consensus ordering, as a share of the day's transactions.
Daily transactions and distinct senders over the selected period, so growth in users can be told apart from more activity per address.
The reference gas price, gas by part, the storage fund and SUI staked.
The reference gas price of the current epoch, in MIST per unit of computation, read from the system state.
Computation plus storage fees minus storage rebates for every transaction on the latest complete day.
Total SUI staked with validators at the latest epoch change, from the system state.
The SUI held in the storage fund at the latest epoch change, which backs the rebates owed on stored data.
Computation fees, storage fees and storage rebates each day over the selected period, with rebates shown below zero.
Sui is a layer 1 built on the Move language around objects: every coin, NFT and pool is an object with an owner, or a shared object that anyone can use. This dashboard reads Sui's checkpoints and transaction effects to show how much the network is used each day, how much of that activity needed consensus, what users paid in gas and how much SUI validators hold in stake.
Sui's gas has three parts, and they are worth reading separately: computation at the epoch's reference gas price, storage for the data a transaction writes and a rebate when data is deleted. The storage fund that holds storage fees and the SUI staked with validators are read at each epoch change. Every figure names the checkpoint it came from, with a receipt.
Every figure will be read at a block, kept with its source and its exact read, and open a receipt anyone can re-check.
How receipts work →Read from chain state and history
A Sui transaction pays a computation fee, its gas units times a gas price at or above the epoch's reference gas price, plus a storage fee for the data it writes. When it deletes or shrinks objects it gets most of their earlier storage fee back as a rebate, so its net fee can be small or even negative.
A price per unit of computation that validators set at the start of each epoch. Each validator submits the price it is willing to work for, and the protocol picks the level supported by two thirds of stake. Validators can report peers that do not honor it, which lowers those peers' rewards.
A pool of SUI built from the storage fees users pay. It is held to pay future validators for storing data written in the past, and when data is deleted most of its storage fee is refunded from it; a small non-refundable part stays in the fund.
An owned object belongs to one address, so a transaction that touches only owned objects can be finalized without consensus ordering. Shared objects, such as a DEX pool, can be used by anyone, so transactions on them go through consensus. The dashboard shows how much activity takes each path.
Holders delegate SUI to validators, whose voting power in each epoch follows their stake. Rewards come from gas fees and from a stake subsidy that steps down at set intervals, and they are paid at epoch boundaries, which come about once a day.
Aptos by day: user transactions apart from protocol ones, senders, first-time senders and throughput, with APT burned as gas and APT staked.
AptosSui and Aptos compared each month on one set of definitions: user transactions, senders, fees on each chain's model, stake and stablecoins.
SuiAptosGross staking yield, yield after supply growth and the share of supply staked on each proof-of-stake chain, from on-chain rewards.
