About

What it answers, and for whom.

An airdrop hands tokens to many wallets at once, and what those wallets do next moves the token's market. This report follows the airdrops that opened their claims in the month: how much of the claimed supply recipients still hold after seven, thirty and ninety days, how much they sold on DEXs and how much they sent to exchange deposit addresses.

It is built from the claim contracts and the token's own transfers, so every share can be traced to wallets and blocks. Each edition also looks at concentration: how much went to the largest claimers, how many claimers behaved like one farm and whether airdrops with vesting or staking options kept more holders than those paid out in full on the first day.

Method

How it will be measured.

Every figure will be read at a block, kept with its source and its exact read, and open a receipt anyone can re-check.

How receipts work →
  1. Claims are read from each airdrop's distributor contract, through its Claimed events or the token transfers out of it, with the claimer, the amount and the block.
  2. Retention is the share of claimed tokens still held by the claiming address, or by a labelled staking or vesting contract on its behalf, seven, thirty and ninety days after each claim.
  3. Selling counts DEX swaps of the token by claimers; exchange deposits count transfers into labelled exchange addresses, reported apart because a deposit is not always a sale.
  4. Claimers funded from one source and moving in lockstep are flagged as likely farms, and retention is shown both with and without them.

Questions

Questions people ask.

What is airdrop retention?

The share of airdropped tokens that recipients still hold some time after claiming them. A high share means most recipients kept their tokens; a low share means much of the airdrop was sold or moved soon after the claim.

Do most airdrop recipients sell?

Many airdrops see heavy selling in the first days, especially from the largest claimers and from wallets that farmed eligibility. The report measures each airdrop separately, because design choices such as vesting, staking rewards or lockups change the outcome.

Is a transfer to an exchange a sale?

Not always. A recipient may deposit tokens to trade later or to hold them in an exchange account. The report shows exchange deposits beside DEX sales and never adds the two into one selling figure.

How are airdrop farms detected?

Wallets funded from the same source, claiming in the same blocks and sending tokens to the same destination are grouped as a likely cluster. The grouping is a flag, not a verdict, and retention is reported both with and without flagged clusters.

Which airdrops are covered?

Airdrops whose claims opened in the month on a covered chain, with a public distributor contract and enough claimers to measure. Each edition lists them, and earlier airdrops return when they reach their ninety-day mark.

Merkle distributor
A claim contract that stores one root of all eligible allocations and pays each wallet that submits a valid proof of its share.
Sybil
One person or group posing as many wallets to collect more of an airdrop than intended.
Retention
The share of claimed tokens still held by recipients at a set time after the claim.
