About

What it answers, and for whom.

Grass is a network in which people share unused internet bandwidth through an app, and the network uses it to collect public web data for AI training. Contributors earn points that have been converted into GRASS, a token on Solana, through seasonal airdrops. Holders can stake GRASS by delegating it to routers, the nodes that relay the network's traffic.

The token side of Grass is on Solana and can be read exactly: supply, holders, airdrop claims, staking balances, exchange wallets and scheduled unlocks. Bandwidth shared, active nodes and data collected are reported by Grass itself, so this dashboard shows them as labelled off-chain figures beside the on-chain ones.

Method

How it will be measured.

Every figure will be read at a block, kept with its source and its exact read, and open a receipt anyone can re-check.

How receipts work →
  1. Supply and holders are read from the GRASS mint and token accounts on Solana at the latest slot, with exchange, program and treasury accounts labelled.
  2. Staked GRASS is the balance in the staking accounts at each day's last slot, where staking settles on Solana; tokens leaving are tracked through the seven days unstaking takes.
  3. Airdrop claims are the distributor's claim transactions, compared with the allocation each season funded, so the unclaimed share can be shown.
  4. Network size, such as nodes and bandwidth, is taken from Grass's published figures with their date and labelled off-chain.

Questions

Questions people ask.

What is Grass?

A network in which people share unused internet bandwidth through an app, which the network uses to collect public web data for AI training. Contributors have been rewarded through seasonal airdrops of GRASS, a token on Solana.

How does GRASS staking work?

Holders stake by delegating GRASS to routers, the nodes that relay network traffic. Routers with more stake are sent more traffic, rewards accrue continuously, routers take a commission and unstaking takes seven days before tokens can be withdrawn.

What can be checked on-chain?

GRASS supply, transfers, holders, airdrop claims and balances at staking and exchange addresses are all on Solana. Bandwidth shared, active nodes and data collected are reported by Grass off-chain and are labelled so on this page.

How were GRASS airdrops distributed?

Each season's airdrop allocated GRASS to contributors according to the points they earned, claimed through transactions on Solana. The dashboard compares what was claimed with what was allocated and follows claimed tokens to staking, exchanges or other wallets.

Do Grass routers get slashed?

Grass's documentation says slashing is not implemented yet, though future updates may penalize routers for bad behaviour such as reporting invalid traffic. Any slashing would show here as a fall in staked balances.

Router
A Grass node that relays traffic between contributors' devices and the network; holders delegate GRASS to routers when they stake.
Delegation
Staking GRASS to a chosen router, sharing in the rewards it earns after its commission.
Airdrop season
A period whose contributor points are converted into a GRASS allocation, claimable after the season ends.
