Data Credits burned, this month
DCData Credits burned for data transfer in the current month on the selected subnetworks.
How much HNT is burned for Helium network usage each month, and how many hotspots are added?
Helium's Data Credit burns, HNT burned against HNT emitted and hotspots onboarded by subnetwork, all read from Solana.
The dashboard as it will open in Vantage. Each figure is named here and arrives with its receipt; until its data is published, its place stays empty.
Data Credits burned for usage, and HNT burned against HNT emitted.
Data Credits burned for data transfer in the current month on the selected subnetworks.
The dollar value of this month's usage burns at the fixed Data Credit price.
HNT burned to mint Data Credits in the current month, for usage and fees together.
HNT emitted minus HNT burned in the current month's epochs; a negative value means supply shrank.
Data Credits burned per month, split into IoT usage, Mobile usage and onboarding and location fees.
HNT burned and HNT emitted per epoch over the selected period, with the net emissions cap marked.
Hotspots onboarded and rewarded by subnetwork, with offload as reported.
Hotspots onboarded on Solana in the current month on the selected subnetworks.
Hotspots whose rewards were claimed on Solana in the last 30 days, a floor for the hotspots in use.
Hotspots onboarded per month, split into IoT and Mobile.
Mobile data offloaded from carriers per month as the operator reports it, labelled off-chain with its source.
Helium is a decentralized wireless network: people run hotspots that provide IoT and mobile coverage, and the network pays them in HNT. Customers pay for usage with Data Credits, which can only be created by burning HNT at a fixed dollar price. Burns for usage are Helium's revenue, and since the network moved to Solana, every one is a Solana transaction.
This dashboard reads them by subnetwork: Data Credits burned for data on the IoT and Mobile networks, the HNT burned to create them, the HNT emitted to hotspots and stakers and the net change in HNT supply. Hotspot onboarding is counted from the onboarding instructions on Solana, by subnetwork and month.
Some of Helium's most quoted figures, such as mobile data offloaded from carriers and subscriber counts, are reported by the operator of its mobile service rather than recorded on-chain. They appear in their own tiles, labelled with their source.
Every figure will be read at a block, kept with its source and its exact read, and open a receipt anyone can re-check.
How receipts work →Chain data, with some off-chain sources
Data Credits are Helium's usage credits. They are created only by burning HNT at a fixed dollar price, cannot be transferred and are spent to send data over the network or to onboard hotspots.
The dashboard sums the HNT burned to mint Data Credits in each month, split into usage and other fees, and compares it with the HNT emitted over the same epochs.
It depends on the period. HNT supply shrinks in an epoch when the HNT burned for Data Credits exceeds what the network mints, including the burned HNT it re-mints up to a cap, and grows otherwise. The dashboard shows the net change epoch by epoch.
Hotspots are counted when they are onboarded on Solana, by subnetwork. Onboarded is not the same as active: a hotspot can stop providing coverage without leaving the registry, so the dashboard shows onboarded hotspots and hotspots that claimed rewards separately.
Mobile carriers can send their subscribers' data over Helium's mobile hotspots instead of their own towers. The offloaded data is reported by the operator off-chain, so the dashboard shows it as reported, with its source.
DePIN networks ranked by revenue paid on-chain through burns, fees and lease payments, with off-chain reported revenue labelled apart.
Multi-chainSolanaEach month, the tokens every major DePIN network burned for usage set against the tokens it emitted as rewards, cited to the chain.
