About

What it answers, and for whom.

Trades on Polymarket's on-chain exchange settle on Polygon. Traders hold positions as outcome tokens in a Polymarket wallet and the exchange contracts record each fill with its maker and taker. Winning tokens are redeemed for collateral when a market resolves. That makes each wallet's volume, cost basis and realized profit readable from the chain, independent of any leaderboard.

This table ranks wallets by volume and by realized profit over a chosen period, with the markets they traded, their largest open position and their win rate on resolved markets. Realized profit counts only closed or resolved positions; open positions are valued separately at the latest price, so a wallet sitting on a large unresolved bet does not rank as a winner before the market settles.

Many top wallets are market makers that trade both sides of many markets. A label marks them where a public source supports it, and a column shows how much of each wallet's volume came from resting maker orders.

Method

How it will be measured.

Every figure will be read at a block, kept with its source and its exact read, and open a receipt anyone can re-check.

How receipts work →
  1. Fills come from the CTF Exchange and NegRisk CTF Exchange OrderFilled events on Polygon, including the V2 exchange contracts, one row per fill with maker, taker, outcome token and price.
  2. Volume is each fill's collateral value, credited to both the maker and the taker wallet, so the table's volume adds up to twice the platform's volume.
  3. Realized profit is collateral received from sales and redemptions minus the cost of the tokens sold or redeemed, on an average-cost basis per outcome token, with resolved payouts from PayoutRedemption events.
  4. Collateral is read in its own units: USDC.e before April 2026 and Polymarket USD after, which is backed one to one by USDC, so profits across the switch stay comparable.
  5. Wallets are Polymarket proxy and deposit wallets; when one person controls several, they are merged only where an on-chain link proves it.

Questions

Questions people ask.

Who are the top traders on Polymarket?

The table answers it for any period: sort by realized profit to see who has gained most from closed and resolved positions, or by volume to see who trades most. Rankings change as markets resolve, so each view states the period it covers.

How is realized profit calculated?

For each wallet and outcome token, the cost of tokens bought is tracked on an average-cost basis. When tokens are sold or redeemed, the collateral received minus that cost is realized profit; positions still open are valued separately and never counted as profit.

Is this the same as Polymarket's leaderboard?

It ranks the same activity, but from the chain itself, with the method stated: fills from the exchange contracts and payouts from redemptions. Figures can differ where definitions differ, for example in how open positions or merged positions are counted.

Can I see a Polymarket wallet's open positions?

Yes. Positions are outcome tokens held in the wallet, so the table shows each wallet's largest open position, its market and outcome and its value at the latest price. That value keeps changing until the market resolves.

Why do market makers rank high on volume?

Market makers quote both sides of many markets and trade constantly, so they fill a large share of volume while often earning little per trade. The maker share column shows how much of a wallet's volume came from resting orders, and labels mark known market makers.

Outcome token
A token for one outcome of a Polymarket market, redeemable for one unit of collateral if that outcome wins.
Proxy wallet
The smart contract wallet Polymarket creates for a user, which holds positions and collateral and appears in fills.
Realized profit
Collateral received from sales and redemptions minus the cost of the tokens sold or redeemed.
Redemption
Exchanging winning outcome tokens for collateral after a market resolves.
