Moved in the last 30 days
%Share of supply in outputs created within the last 30 days, at the latest day's last block.
How much of Bitcoin's supply has not moved in one, two, five or ten years?
Every bitcoin grouped by how long since it last moved, from under a day to over ten years, and how the bands shift like waves over time.
The dashboard as it will open in Vantage. Each figure is named here and arrives with its receipt; until its data is published, its place stays empty.
Today's age bands and how they moved over time.
Share of supply in outputs created within the last 30 days, at the latest day's last block.
Share of supply in outputs at least one year old at the latest day's last block.
Share of supply in outputs at least five years old at the latest day's last block.
Share of supply in outputs at least ten years old at the latest day's last block.
Share of supply in each of the twelve age bands at every day's last block over the selected period.
Bitcoin in each age band at the latest day's last block, from under a day to over ten years.
Bitcoin gained or lost by each band over the last 30 days, from coins that moved and coins that aged into it.
Each band's share of realized cap, its coins valued at the price of the day they last moved.
Bitcoin in labelled exchange wallets split by age band, the moves that reset age without a change of owner.
HODL waves split Bitcoin's supply by coin age: how long each unspent output has sat since the transaction that created it. Stack the age bands day by day and the chart forms waves, as coins that move rejoin the youngest band and coins that stay still drift into older ones. This dashboard rebuilds the bands from the UTXO set at each day's last block, back to the first blocks.
Read the young bands for activity and the old ones for coins that stay put. A swelling band under one month means coins are changing hands, often during large price moves, while a growing share over five years means more of the supply is staying still, including coins that may never move again. Unlike the long-term holder split, which draws one line at 155 days, the waves keep every band, so a shift between one and two years shows up as itself.
A second view weights each band by the value its coins had when they last moved: the realized-cap HODL waves. It shows where the network's cost basis sits, which a count of bitcoin alone cannot.
Every figure will be read at a block, kept with its source and its exact read, and open a receipt anyone can re-check.
How receipts work →Chain data, with some off-chain sources
A chart of Bitcoin's supply split into bands by how long ago each coin last moved, stacked over time. Coins that move reset to the youngest band, so busy markets show as swelling young bands and quiet years as thickening old ones.
The page shows the share of supply unmoved for one, five and ten years or more at the latest day's last block, each with the read behind it. Part of the oldest band is believed lost, but the chain cannot tell lost coins from patient ones.
Long-term holder supply draws one line, usually at 155 days, and splits supply in two. HODL waves keep a dozen bands, so you can see which ages are growing or shrinking rather than a single total.
The same bands weighted by the value coins had when they last moved instead of by the number of bitcoin. A large young band in realized terms means many coins changed hands at recent prices.
Yes. The chain only sees that an output was spent and new ones were created, so a transfer between your own addresses makes those coins young again. Exchange wallet reshuffles do the same, which is why labelled exchange coins are shown apart.
How much bitcoin sits in coins unmoved for at least 155 days, how much moved recently and how many long-held coins are spent each day.
BitcoinLong-dormant bitcoin as it moves again: coins unmoved for five, seven or ten years and more, when they moved and how old they were.
BitcoinThe average price at which every bitcoin last moved, the cost basis of recent and long-term holders and where the market sits against them.
BitcoinHow much bitcoin mined in 2009 and 2010 has never moved, what the chain can and cannot say about who mined it and which early coins moved.
BitcoinHow many unspent outputs every Bitcoin node must keep, how much space they take, which script types they use and how many are dust-sized.
BitcoinBlocks left until the next Bitcoin halving, its date projected from recent block times and the block reward before and after it.
